Re: Master Of Craving (4:12pm May 27, 2009):

Congratulations on the release and YEAH for HEA romance! Hmm energy to burn? Walking with an Audible book on mp3!!

Re: Storm Glass (3:49pm May 21, 2009):

Maria - I LOVED your study trilogy! They were my favorite reads from last year. I listened to all three on Audible but then I wanted the books for keepers! I was sorry when the series ended! Now I have to get the Glass books. Thanks for writing and being responsive to readers!

Re: Saved By The Monarch (5:28pm May 20, 2009):

I think I wouldn't mind learning I was a Princess or at least promised to marry a Prince... I sure hope he would be nice and handsome and honorable!! Sounds exciting!

Re: Pretty in Plaid (7:36pm May 18, 2009):

I try to be on time and never more than 5 mins late. My DH wants to always be early so he is always waiting for me!

Re: Mistress (3:54pm May 16, 2009):

I have to agree that too many characters can get confusing or distracting although I love good secondary characters! For my DH if there are over 4 or 5 that is too many! I think I can comfortably handle matbe 10! I can't think of any names that have bothered me.

Re: Let It Ride (3:52pm May 11, 2009):

Ha Jillian! Cute post! I don't watch much TV as it is read, read and more read with me! Our daughter has a home of her own and our son is off at Airforce basic training. I will be swimming more though as my DH put in a pool for me! YEAH. Now if I could only figure out how to read or listen to Audibles while swimming!

Re: Red Kiss (7:14pm May 7, 2009):

Hi Deidre! I said hi at the RT Bookfair and I'm hoping to see my picture with you soon! LOL. Sounds like I need to get Butterfly Tattoo. And you know I am waiting for Red Kiss!! Glad you pushed through to get the books published!!

Re: Bunco Babes Tell All (12:56pm May 6, 2009):

Congrats on your debut novel!!I have never played bunco...but my family used to play a lot of Yatze. Lately we have been playing Canasta. The books sound like a lot of fun!

Re: Sea Lord (1:23pm May 5, 2009):

Fairy tales and romance may not be all "real" life, but they often include basic truths of real life! I have always loved the beauty and the beast themes and also The Swan Princess...hmmm didn't realize I liked changlings even at that age!! Thanks for sharing! I am interesting in getting this book...would be my first Selkie! (Other than the little mermaid!)

Re: Wild Heat (2:20pm April 30, 2009):

Hi Bella! Interesting background with your rock and roll career!! Glad you found your niche with romance! Wild Heat definitely sounds HOT! Q is it erotic or erotica?? Thanks!

Re: The Madness Of Lord Ian Mackenzie (2:37pm April 29, 2009):

Nice post! I like the unique sound of Lord Ian...not everyone is the perfect male or female! Couple of unusual heroes I can think of are: Sydnam Butler the disfigured hero in Mary Balogh's Simply Love; Sir William of Miraval the blind knight from Christina Dodd's Candle in the Window; and Reginald Davenport the alcoholic hero in Mary Jo Putney's The Rake.

Re: The Secret Mistress Arrangement (3:31pm April 22, 2009):

The qualities you include are good! Plus I like integrity (which would include faitfulness) and a sense of humor - how else would he put up with my quirks?

Re: The Promise (10:43pm April 20, 2009):

I don't recall when I started- I just know that I have always loved to read! A favorite was Black Beauty and I could swear there was a book called Smokey the Cowhorse but I haven't found that as an adult. I was a loner and books were my friends. And of course the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew were favorites. I even read the dictionary and encyclopedia one summer or maybe two! Now I read as my form of relaxation. Always have a book or two going!

Re: Mastering The Marquess (6:34pm April 16, 2009):

I have a sister who is 18 months older. We got into a few tiffs when we were younger but as adults we are very close!! We have two older brothers too... one tends to be more close than the other who is the "odd man out" in our family with different politics and religion etc. We still love him though!! Recently read a book where the younger sister really took advantage of the older... stole her boyfriends etc. Not so nice! Can't think of any others right now.

Re: The Heir's Scandalous Affair (6:09pm April 14, 2009):

I truly love series. I definitely prefer to read them in order but if they are good as stand alones, I still like to read about the secondary characters! Best wishes with the latest release! Thanks for a chance to win!

Re: Rewriting Monday (4:46pm April 10, 2009):

I have few regrets...my college and work field are what I wanted and I am happy with them still. I am happily married for 23+ years so I am not sure I would change my personal relationships either. However, there is this one fellow I wished I had gotten to know better. The book sounds like it would be interesting!

Re: Last Gasp (6:01pm April 9, 2009):

I was raised on a farm in Pennsylvania Dutch country. I had a cousin who would tell ghost stories while I gave her back rubs!! I like safe scares... love romantic suspense!
Where I live now there are several prisons and last year there was an escapee in the wooded acres behind our house. That was pretty distressing! Our place is secluded on a dirt road - 17 properties all 5 to 10 acres each. Sometimes when I walk the dogs late at night I think about stories with thieves and killers who might sneak around that sort of area at night! Then I hurry inside! :)

Re: Temptation Ridge (5:05pm April 4, 2009):

Sometimes getting lost in a simple, sweet or spicy, romance is just what you want or need to calm life down. Hope Gwen, and you, are fully recovered!

Re: A World I Never Made (4:11pm April 2, 2009):

Good plot with suspense/betrayal and good character development... sounds like a good read to me!

Re: Too Rich and Too Dead (6:43pm March 25, 2009):

Thanks for an interesting blog. I agree that traveling is wonderful and it is great that it enhances your writing. The mysteries sound like fun!

Re: To Beguile A Beast (7:32pm March 23, 2009):

Elizabeth - your books are just the types I love best!! Good Historicals and series too! Thanks!

Re: Evil In Carnations (4:54pm March 20, 2009):

Hello Kate - Boy that sounds like you had a really rough time!! Glad you have recovered. And thanks for the reminder that we need to be thankful for our health and the boring days as well as the exciting ones!!

Re: Sophie's Secret (6:13pm March 19, 2009):

Congrats on your first and ninth!! The Anthology sounds like an absolutely wonderful project! And I know I have enjoyed several of your books and have no doubt these are good stories too!

Re: Would-Be Witch (3:09pm March 16, 2009):

Hmmm, both are hard choices! Favorite Fictional Place: Rivendell from Lord of The Rings.

Historical Setting - Regency London, England, preferrably as part of the nobility!
Your series sounds fun! Thanks for a chance to win.

Re: The Deepest Cut (5:42pm March 13, 2009):

Those sure aound like great rules for a writer! Some of them work for my profession too - attorney! I really enjoy series - you get hooked on the characters (good guys anyway)! Will have to look into your books!

Re: Simple Wishes (1:56pm March 11, 2009):

Hi Lisa- Simple Wishes does sound very interesting. I like to learn of different cultures and it sounds like your research will add fullness to a good plot and romance. Thanks for the chance to win a copy.

Re: Scandal (5:42pm March 6, 2009):

Nice post Carolyn. I join you in the affliction! Reading is my form of relaxing and historicals are more inclined to take me away...And I like to learn about real times and themes like the Peninsula War, women's rights or lack thereof, etc. The majority of the authors for whom I like to collect ALL their books are HR authors. I have keepers by Mary Balogh, Catherine Coulter, Christina Dodd, Julie Garwood, Judith McNaught, Julia Quinn, Mary Jo Putney and Susan Wiggs. And that's just a start of many HR authors I collect!

Re: Safe By His Side (3:48pm March 5, 2009):

Hi Linda. I really can't think of anything I love to hate... My DH is with you on the exercise. I like to exercise or walk - I'm just not as disciplined as I should be about it!! I could say I hate my job 'cause it interferes with reading and blogging about reading. *G* But I really do love my job and since I’m the boss I don’t get in trouble if I take a blog break.
I have not read the Twilight series or any of Kenyon’s books yet. I don’t seem to have a lot of interest for dark vampire books but I love the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris! I also just started the Rachel Morgan series (Dead Witch Walking) by Kim Harrison and really enjoyed that too. I agree with a previous comment that I like psychic paranormal (Kay Hooper). Also I thought the Study series by Maria V. Snyder was great - more magic in that. I liked listening (CDs) to the Harry Potter series - too long to actually read! And I like the magic in Mary Jo Putney’s Guardian series. I am interested in reading a dragon shifter story - just haven’t gotten one yet! I do like good witches, weres and shifters. I guess I come down on the side of good magic and “good” guys in all their guises!

Re: Bride By Command (12:14pm March 2, 2009):

I hadn't heard about the Emperor's Bride series but I love series. Thanks for sharing about this. This sounds very interesting and I agree - Jahn is going to have to make up for the deception!! I think Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite fairy tales. Just something about a wounded beast!

Re: Lord Of Misrule (9:27pm February 27, 2009):

Glad you found the right book store for the signing. And then a restaraunt with Elvis fans - what fun!

Re: The C.O.O. Must Marry (4:30pm February 27, 2009):

Hello Maxine-
I am glad your long journey was worthwhile in the end!!
I had early career success becoming an attorney at the age of 23 - nothing earth shattering but rewarding. It was a longer journey to find a loving mate but God put me with the right man at age 34, then blessed us with a son and a daughter. We have been together now for 23 years so I consider it successful!

Re: Border Moonlight (5:43pm February 25, 2009):

I liked your blog. HR is my #1 fav genre. I really like when the true time history is included - I learn new things that way. I have several of your books in my TBR and now having read this bit I will go get to reading them!

Re: Between A Rock And A Heart Place (9:43pm February 24, 2009):

Hi Natale - Your books sound fun! Hard decision but for a temporary shift I think I would go with a hawk so I could fly!!

Re: Ravenous (6:52pm February 19, 2009):

I have to get this one soon! Whenever I win a book I write to the author after I have read it to let them know how I enjoyed it!

Re: Secret Fantasy (9:35pm February 17, 2009):

Love is a commitment! And it is worth it over the long haul. Thanks for all the positive thoughts!

Re: The Wine Seekers (9:32pm February 17, 2009):

How nice! Thanks for the wish!!

Re: Highland Warrior (9:31pm February 17, 2009):

I love highlander stories and will have to check yours out! The idea of pics sounds great!

Re: Bluegrass Courtship (7:17pm February 12, 2009):

Sounds great! I really enjoy "plain Jane" stories. Not everbody can be beautiful! But the best ones are beautiful inside!

Re: The Secret Life of Bees (5:59pm February 8, 2009):

Hi Sandi- I cannot think of a movie I have seen where I went back to read the book. However, I have read numerous books and then saw the movies. Like the Harry Potter series, and The DaVinci Code, I think a lot can be lost in the movie. But you can still enjoy the movie if you accept that it will not be the same. I have read Inkheart (actually listened on Audible) and I am looking forward to that movie to see how it compares. I have not read Secret Life of Bees so I would have the same dilemma as you! Speaking of Audibles - I have listened to several over the past year that I enjoyed so much I want to get the books! The Study series by Maria V. Snyder, the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris and The Shack are examples of those.

Re: Made To Be Broken (5:48pm February 8, 2009):

Sara - You read some of my favorite authors this week! I read Trick my Truck by LuAnn McLane - very easy, fun, simple small town romance; Suspect by Jasmine Cresswell - good romantic suspense with a lead hero that is easy to dislike at first but he comes around; and Surrender a Dream by Jill Barnett - an historical romance set in late 1894 California with a wonderful battle between a small, fiesty stubborn heroine and a very tall, stubborn, "hurt in childhood" hero. Now beginning Jerusalem Vigil by Brodie & Brock Thoene - a novel about the drama that unfolds during the early days of the rebirth of Jerusalem in 1948. I am also listening to Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison - a paranormal/magic story and the first time I have read/listened to this author. About one fourth into this I am enjoying the story, the characters and the audible (narrator).

Re: Whisper of Warning (4:19pm January 24, 2009):

I hope this is Sandi's blog??? as I didn't find any other. Thanks for the contest and chance to win a nice bundle of books!
