Ann Lawrence's Summer Reading List Plus a Fruit Delight

facebook

What I'll be reading this summer . . .

HOW TO BE THE MOTHER OF THE GROOM.

I don't know if this book really exists, but I need to get ready for my son's
wedding! I don't want to be a Momzilla, but I also don't want to miss one
moment of the fun!

Another book I'll be reading . . .

HOW TO FIT INTO THE MOTHER OF THE GROOM DRESS.

Enough said!

The following recipe will not help me fit into my "Mother of the Groom" dress,
but my family has been making it for summer barbecues since the 1970s!

Fruit Delight
  • 2 cans of mandarin Oranges, drained
  • 2 cans of pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1/2 pint fresh strawberries, sliced in half (reserve a few for decoration)
  • 1/2 pint whole strawberries
  • 1 package miniature marshmallows
  • 1 pint sour cream

Combine ingredients with 2/3 of the sour cream. Chill overnight. About 1 hour
before serving, mix in remaining sour cream. Garnish with the reserved
strawberries.
