Erich Segal, ‘Love Story’ Author, Dies

Mr. Segal, 72, created two of the most enduring pop stories of the 1960s — he
wrote the novel “Love Story” and was a co-writer of the screenplay for the 1968
Beatles movie “Yellow Submarine.”

A loss to the world.

I remember seeing the movie made from the book on a snowy night and couldn't wait to go ice skating with my date. It was so romantic. Erich Segal had special insight and a magic touch in translating feelings for men and women.
