Now that the hazy, lazy days of summer are morphing into one gigantic Back to
School Sale, it’s time to review what has or hasn’t been accomplished over the
last ten weeks and offer a definitive answer to the question: how do writers
work in the summertime?

Now, I know that plenty of people work in the summertime. Most people, even.
Students (and, one assumes, snowshoe instructors) are really the only people
whose summertime months are likely to be work-free.
