We get together on Christmas Eve, have pizza and chicken wings an play Trival Pursuit or Euchure.. Now that are parents are gone, we get together at my oldest brother's house. It is agreat time and then everyone can do their own thing on Christmas Day.. My one brother has three kids 15, and twins 11. So they want to be at home. My oldest niece goes to her mother's family and the rest of us just have a quiet day.

I love Military Heroes because of their sense of Honour...

Re: Pitch Perfect (11:01am September 11, 2012):

LuAnn's books are the best... She keeps me reading her books by using wonderful stories and chaacters that I have come to know and love.. She make you want to be friends with heroine and love the hero... People watching is something I do too and try not to be too obvious about. It's fun.

Re: One Hot Cowboy Wedding (10:46am April 9, 2012):

Hi Carolyn, I am just know reading My Give a Damn's Busted and then I have Honky Tonk Christmas to reaad... I have read the second book in the Cowboy's and SPurs series, so I have to go back one.. I am trying to play catch up with all the books... As I just started reading your books in the summer...
As to what I want to ask Santa for...well I would really like a new car. It would make getting around in the cold northern winters here in Ontario Canada a little easier...

Re: A Maverick For Christmas (10:58am October 30, 2011):

I have this book on my tbr shelf and can't wait to get into it... love your books.

I have the greatest friends.. I could not get through some of the touch times without them. I have the kind of BFF that when she found out my mother was not going to live and I was alone at the nursing home with her, she came right over to be with me. And I am there for them. But we have a lot of good times to share too.. I was not lucky enought to have sisters, I have four brother, although they are there for me, it is not same as having a female to turn to. I have three female cousins that I could turn too.. I am so lucky....

Re: Too Hot To Touch (1:35pm August 3, 2011):

Ah my first love.. I remember him like it was yesterday and it was many, many years ago. He was older, so sophisticated, and was also off limits.. But did that stop me from having my heart broken.. so sir.. He tried to let me down easy, but alas it did not happen. But life went on and so did I.
I can't wait to read this new book..

Re: The Doctor Takes A Princess (2:45pm July 8, 2011):

I never had kids of my own.. but I am aunt kathleen to many and I have at some point in their lives looked after them when they were babies.. Nothing I like better than to hold them in my arms and put them against my heart, so they could feel the love that will always be there for them...I am doing it for the next generations of "my kids"...

Re: Already Home (11:10am May 11, 2011):

I am not much of a cook and I would rather have someone do it for me... I have Debbies Cedar Cove Cookbook too..

Re: Simply Irresistible (1:02am October 30, 2010):

Jill I just got this book today.... Can't wait to get reading it...

Re: Ice Cold (11:38am July 18, 2010):

I have not had a chance to meet any of my favourite writers, as many do not travel accross the border.. But one day I will get to RWA and meet all my favs..
I spent yesterday shopping and made a foray into the book store to pickup JoAnn Ross's new book The Homecoming and a book by LuAnn McLane, Driven by Desire..I call that a good day.

Re: Blown Away (1:11pm May 30, 2010):

I love triogy's, especially if they are from some of my fav authors.. who are many. Depends on my mood how I read them. I like to get all three together and read them one after the other, and sometimes I just can't wait. As in Robyn Carr's Virgin River books. They come out in three's and I have to read them as soon as they hit my hands...

Re: Big Girl (12:38pm March 21, 2010):

Sandi, I can't for the life of me remember my first adult book, but I think it was Mrs. Mike.. great romantic story about love and hardships of life in the Yukon. Or it could have been Barbara Taylor Bradford's A Woman of Substance. I fell in love with this series and her writing. But I do remember that The Promise was my first DS book.. And you are right she openned up the doors for us to read authors like Robyn Carr and Sherryl Woods etc.

Re: Seeing Red (11:05am February 28, 2010):

I have had a good month of reading for Feburary.. But the best read of all was a book I had been looking along time for, Destiny Unleashed by Sherryl Woods.. Which I won in a contest.. So I consider Feburary a great month of reading.. I have loads to read in March and I am which the highlight of the month will be two of Robyn Carr's books..

Re: The Edge of Winter (12:09pm February 21, 2010):

Well of course Forbbidden Falls for sure and I have read Luanne's book. And the ones that come to mind our Lisa Kleypas books, which i have on my tbr list Scandel in Spring, Secrets on a Summer Night, It Happened One Autum and Devil in Winter.. ..

Re: Down By The River (2:44pm January 31, 2010):

I got caught up on some of my Harlequin Super Romances that were piling up on my tbr shelf.. I read a series called "Those Merrett Sisters", by Abby Gaines. Titles in order, Her So Called Fiance, Her Secret Rival and Her Surprise Hero. These young woman would do anthing to get their father, the head of a prestiges Law firm, Love.. And in the end they had not his but found strong men who knew how to protect them, but love them too.. Great books.

Re: Come Hell Or High Water (11:37am January 11, 2010):

I would say that the perfect day for me is one where no crisis arose and where I could sit and read a book... I love One Recless Summer and can't wait for the second book in this series..
Great post Sandi

Re: Dark Lover (1:08pm November 30, 2009):

Like you Sandi, I like to read contemporary books, romance with a twist of supsense or humour.. But I also like to read Historical, Western, both historical and contemporary and I do like a few paranormal books.. I do have a keeper shelf but because of limited space, I tend to every once in awhile thin them out.. I keep the hardcovers, but I do donate once a year to our library fund raiser..
Your new puppy is a real cutie...

Re: Captive Desires (12:48pm November 2, 2009):

I am not a very creative, but I like to get this just so when I am decorating, especially for Christmas or setting the table when I have guests for dinner..
I enjoy your "Devil" series and cannot wait until the next one is out. I have not had a chance to read your paranormals, but I have them on my tbr list..

Re: Table Manners (11:22am September 6, 2009):

We celebrate Labour Day her in Canada too.. I was going to have relaxing weekend, but my Hotmail kicked my account out and now I have to start all over with a new one.. This will take the rest of the weekend to get back all my contacts in order.. What a pain...

Re: Hot Pursuit (11:00am August 2, 2009):

My library is pretty good about getting in the best selling authors. I checked Suzanne's book and there are 4 copies with one more on order and 26 requests. I would be 27. As for Black Hills, I have been waiting a few months for this book. There are 71 requests and I am now #7 in line. The library has 14 copies of the book.

Re: Seducing an Angel (12:13pm June 23, 2009):

Hi Mary, I am a great fan of your books and I am waiting for At last comes love and Seducing an Angel to come my way. I have enjoyed reading your books and I cannot wait to order Con's story...

Re: Undead And Unwelcome (10:06am June 14, 2009):

great blog Sandi. I have so many that I would want to meet and sign my book.. Nora for sure and Robyn, as I too am on her chat, and Lisa Kleypas...the list goes on and on.

Re: Pretty in Plaid (10:54am May 17, 2009):

I was born early and I have been early for everthing ever since. It is very rarely I am late for appointments or events.

Re: Behind The Shadows (10:08pm April 26, 2009):

I have a gift certificate that is burning a hole in my wallet. When I can drive to the bookstore it will be money well spent. I know exactly what I want, plus I know that there will be a few others that I will need when I see them.

Re: The Promise (1:30pm April 19, 2009):

I think the first books I can remember reading as a child was the Babar books. Then was Pippi Longstocking and Charlottes web. But I think my love of readind really started when I was in maybe grade 4 and I found this books called Sarah, it was about a young girl and how she it to grow up being jewish and what it means to her. But the book that really put my on the road to romance was Mrs. Mike., I loved that book so much. And from their the rest is history.

Re: Simple Wishes (7:08pm March 11, 2009):

Lisa this book sounds like one I will put on my TBR list. Good luck with your book.

Re: The Secret Life of Bees (11:40am February 9, 2009):

I love to see movies from the books I have read. My two favourites are :The Notebook and The Horse Whisperer. These two books were the best I seen and really stayed true to the stories for the most part. But if a movie comes out and I have not read the book, then it is weird, but I won't read the book. Because then it spoils it for me.
Funny, but that is just they way it is.

Re: Obama (1:52pm January 18, 2009):

I am not really into biographies, but I have read the odd one. I read Katherine Hepburn bio and reading about her life with Spencer Tracy. I think we hear so much about public people and thier lives on the TV and in print media, that when they bring out a book, I just can't be bothered.

Re: A Virgin River Christmas (11:40pm October 26, 2008):

I have bought all the Grace Valley books and will be reading them one right after the other. I did the same thing with the VR series. These books will be passed from me to other family and friends who I have who I have turned into Robyn Carr lovers.
