โI thought about you all weekend.โ
โMe too,โ she admitted.
โI want you bad, Jules,โ he said softly, reaching for her hand, relieved when she let
him take it. โI just canโt promise you more than here and now.โ
โI know.โ
โI wish that could be enough.โ
She shrugged. โItโs not.โ
Something inside him bristled, adding a petulant edge to his voice. โDonโt you think
