I struggle to let my boys go. I really truly do know they are grown ups. But I am compelled to give advice, especially if its something that I have first hand failed at.
But I know, I know I KNOW!! I have to let them fail occasionally. It is just so hard to do!

My biggest flaw is anxiety. I get stressed out about anything and everything. Working on this and hopefully I can over come it. Also, trying to conquer my weight issue, so far down 40 pounds, but like you said yummy snacks are evil. Your book sounds delightful; I have never read any of your books. Will definitely add it to my list. Thank you for the contest.

I find low confidence as an interesting fault in a character. It is something
we all face occasionally and it makes the character more realistic.

It's so hard to watch your children make the same mistakes
that you made...but they are grown. They don't want your
advice.

Many characters suffer from indecision and this is paralyzing
and difficult to deal with. Life is hard and we have to be
strong.

I've never sat and really thought about the faults of a
character before. I usually think about their good
qualities, and what makes them interesting. For faults I
would probably say a quick temper or quick to judge others
without having all of the information. I would also have to
say a two-faced character. I've met too many people like
that in real life, and hate reading about them, too!! I
don't like characters who aren't sincere. If they say
they're going to do something, they should come through!! I
also don't like characters that don't like animals. I
believe that a pet always adds an interesting slant to a
story, or a great pause, when one is needed. If I thought
long enough, I'm sure that I could think of plenty. As for
neatness, I'm not a neat freak, although I try to be as
organized as I can. When company comes over, I don't want
them coming with white gloves on. I want them to see that
my house is lived in, and to make themselves at home!! You
are normal, like everyone else, and have a few interesting
things about you, that make you loved in your own way. The
good thing is that you don't have anything negative about
you that make people turn away from you, so there's no need
for you to worry so much!! I'm really looking forward to
reading your book. I think it's an interesting plot, and
I'm curious to see how it plays out. Congratulations!!

I procrastinate too often. I never did when I worked but not that I'm retired I have suddenly developed this habit. I was told at work I was a work-alcoholic and super organized. They wouldn't recognize me now.

I like stories with animals in them, it makes it more "human"

I seem to struggle every month with the bills and the incoming money. HA What else is new! It's not easy being retired on a fixed income.

I think my biggest fault is being too
giving to my daughter.She needs to
stand on her own and make better
choices and I need to let her fail
without me to pick up the peices.

Faults in a character. I am not really sure but if they didn't
have any there wouldn't be a story. So the more the better.

Procrastination. I used to be so organized and on top of everything, go-go, all day long. As I've gotten older, I don't try to get it all done each and every day and put it off til tomorrow, and still it might not get done. I also seem to be opinionated. I often give my opinion or advice to others who seek out my help. This can be good and bad sometimes, so I often tell them it's their choice and to use their own judgement.

I like a combination of faults in my characters. Faults drive the story and have you cheering or jeering for the characters exhibiting them. Fear and anxiety, loyalty and jealousy are some of my favorites. Although I don't want to experience any (except loyalty) I sure do relish reading the consequences associated with them in my stories.
