Instead of trying to find your perfect match in a dating app, we bring you the "Author-Reader Match"; where we introduce you to authors you may fall in love with. It's our great pleasure to present Jennifer Fischetto!
Writes:
My Gianna Mancini Mysteries series are paranormal cozy mysteries featuring an amateur sleuth who can see and communicate with opinionated and sassy ghosts and who has a big, loving family. In the latest book, ROAD TRIPS, BLUE SKIES & DEAD GUYS, Gianna helps an older woman, Betty, find out who killed her, and it is not an easy task. First there's Betty's ghost who's adamant about her killer being a friend and to make things more difficult, Betty's death was ruled an accident in another state. The only way for Gianna to get involved is to go on a road trip with her mother and cop brother, Enzo. While I adore all things creepy, my stories are fun and will hopefully make you laugh.
About:
I grew up mere feet from the boardwalk, sand, and Atlantic Ocean in Long Beach, NY, which is where I came up for the setting, South Shore Beach, in the Gianna Mancini Mysteries--part beach town, part suburbs. I've also lived in England (six months as a teenager so I don't remember much), Georgia for seven years, and now I'm in Western Massachusetts, where (just like NY) the seasons change, and the fall foliage is gorgeous. In fact, autumn is my absolute favorite season. I love cool, rainy weather where I can sit cozy in my home with a blanket and a hot beverage, preferably tea, and I prefer darker days. I have been known to not raise the shades in the spring and summer to try and capture the same ambience.
What I’m looking for in my ideal reader match:
- Readers who enjoy an independent young woman who can't resist solving a crime, despite the danger
- Who loves to eat and salivates over food descriptions
- Someone who loves close-knit families, even when they're meddling
- Enjoys some paranormal fun and hijinks in your mystery
What to expect if we're compatible:
- A full cast of characters because Gianna's family deserves to be showcased
- Many references to food in my books and on social media
- A lot of zany ghosts and touching family moments in previous books
- A way to relax for several hours
Gianna Mancini Mysteries #10
From USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Fischetto comes a ghost
whisperer on the road...
Reluctant ghost whisperer Gianna Mancini’s mother loves collecting
murderabilia–objects once belonging to murder victims. It’s become
quite a hobby, to the point where she has a basement full of items.
When Gianna discovers there’s a ghost living down there—attached to
the dead woman’s handbag—Gianna asks the departed to move on. But the
senior citizen, Betty, is determined to first get revenge on the
person who pushed her down a flight of stairs. And she knows exactly
who it is. Her best friend.
In an effort to help Betty go to the light, Gianna, Ma, Betty, and
Gianna’s detective brother, Enzo, decide to take a road trip to
Betty's hometown of Chance, MA to poke around to see if they can find
clues to lead the police to this supposedly guilty best friend.
But the more they dig, the more secrets stumble at their feet, and
before long, they realize there’s a list of suspects who could’ve
killed Betty for her handbag. The local police don’t appreciate
out-of-towners nosing around any more than the people in Betty's
former life. Before long Gianna finds herself being chased, kidnapped,
and threatened. Can she get to the truth before this road trip takes a
deadly turn?
