Re: Blown Away (11:07pm May 30, 2010):

As with any new series, especially by a favorite author I will get each book as they come out. I already have soo many book I'm waiting for to be released it's hard to get them all.

Re: A Thread So Thin (1:11am May 17, 2010):

I don't recall having any imaginary friends growing up.

Re: Big Girl (12:58pm March 22, 2010):

The very first adult romance I read and absolutely adored was Captive Bride by Johanna Lindsay. I was 16 at the time and that book got me instantly hooked on romance novels. I don't have a favorite author that I'm embarrassed to admit to still be following, because I still pretty much all of my all time favorites. And the ones I lost interest in a long time ago, I let go of.

Re: The You I Never Knew (11:03pm March 14, 2010):

I don't ever cry over books, no matter how emotional. I've come close a few times but not quite. I prefer to laugh than cry.

Re: Down By The River (11:31pm January 31, 2010):

I read 12 books in January. Most of them Silhouette Desires because I got really behind on those. The highlights of January for me was Maverick by Diana Palmer. A Highlander Christmas by Janet Chapman and Shattered by Joan Johnston. No New authors, no challenges, or new genres.

Re: Down By The River (12:33pm January 25, 2010):

I love series. I prefer them over single titles. I have to read seriels in the proper order, unless it's an older series and the books involved are hard to find, then, I will just read the series out of order as I find the books. It happens more that way than most with the older series.

Re: Forbidden Falls (11:25pm January 17, 2010):

I have love/hate relationships with both my cellphone and compueter, but I wouldn't give up either of them. I also love my Ipod.

Re: Come Hell Or High Water (1:22am January 11, 2010):

My idea of the perfect day is a day of me being able to do whatever it is I want,,,,,,,like reading and have absolutely NO interruptions what-so-ever.

Re: Dark Lover (1:24pm November 29, 2009):

I love Paranormals, Western and Regency Historicals, Erotic romances with M/M. I do have a Keepers shelf and also Keepers boxes that I now have to weed out due to a lack of space. I keep mostly books from favorite authors and series that I enjoy. I don't do much re-reading. First adult book was a Regency Historical romance by Johanna Lindsay called Captive Bride. I was 16 at the time. Oreo is a beautiful baby! Congrats!!

Re: Lucky Break (9:39pm October 4, 2009):

Since I live alone and don't have to worry about what my place looks like until I get tired of it, I just read until I'm ready to do something with my house. I might clean a room up (sort of ) in between books.

Re: Table Manners (7:33pm September 7, 2009):

No special plans for the long weekend. Just another weekend for me. Lots of special books I've been wanting to get to but I'm so far behind on my reading!. I just can't catch up.

Re: Red Hot Lies (6:02pm August 30, 2009):

I've never been a fan of first person in the past but I did like the first book of Cheyenne McCray's Lexi Steel series, The First Sin. It was wonderful. I'm going to get the second book which just came out.

Re: The Fixer Upper (10:03pm August 23, 2009):

Most of the people I know don't understand what I see in the books I read because they aren't "realistic" or they don't do anything for the brain. And tell them that's not why I read them. I read them to get away from reality and I work my brain enough at work and with other things that I need something to relax it and the rest of me so that's why I read romances,,,,,,,,,,and I just plain enjoy them. It's not important what you read, as long as you read something. Most of the people I know don't even read a newspaper and that's sad.

Re: Smash Cut (12:49pm August 17, 2009):

I keep the books that I really, really enjoy, mostly by favorite authors who write seriels. As for re-reads, I find myself re-reading books that I've bought that turn out to be re-issues of books that I've already read before, maybe even years before but I don't realize it until I've started to read the books. Does that make any sense??

Re: Mackenzie's Legacy (11:05pm July 26, 2009):

Hmmmm. For me it would be the Stanislaski Spelling) family by Nora Roberts. I wish that had kept going.

Re: Mr. Perfect (3:49pm July 12, 2009):

A lot of people have been raving about the Midnight Breeds series by Lara Adrian. So I got the first book and hated to have to put it down!!!. I read the second book to the series and it was even better. I now need to get my butt in gear and read the rest of the series because it's just amazing. I'm glad I listened to what people were saying.

Re: The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society (11:47am July 5, 2009):

I remember reading Breathing room by Susan Elizabeth Phillips and just not enjoying it all. I read it because I have enjoyed her books before this one and because everyone who had read it before me just raved about it to no end. But, it did nothing for me at all. That was the second book that I didn't care for inspite of the hype. The first time this had happened to me was when I read a book by an author I've never read before. It was Improper English by Katie MacAlister. Everyone raved about it. So I got it thinking it would be great to read a new author. It wasn't so great for me.

Re: A Thread Of Truth (2:33pm June 22, 2009):

Typos don't really bother me. I pretty much don't even really notice them all that much because they really aren't that bad, if they're spelling, grammar or punctuation typos. Mistakes involving actual places, people and events and other things that should have been researched more thoroughly and I might know something about, and see that the author has their information wrong, that bothers me but not so bad that I can't enjoy the story, if it's good. It's irritating but not all that earth shattering. If I have a way of doing so I will just email the author to let them know that some of the information in their story is off and most times they do realize it but it was too late to fix it or the publisher didn't care because no one would notice it. Believe me, we do notice.

Re: Undead And Unwelcome (10:37pm June 14, 2009):

I've only met one author at a book signing. I got to meet Marliss Melton a few years back when she was in town for a charity booksigning. I would still love to meet,

Catherin Anderson
Sherrilyn Kenyon
Christine Feehan
J.R. Ward
Suzanne Brockmann
Diana Palmer
Johanna Lindsey

Just to name a few.

Re: The Red Pony (8:24pm June 7, 2009):

I've had to read some of the books you listed while in school and I hated them. Because of that I have no interesting in ever reading them ever again. Sounds harsh but that's the way I feel.

Re: The Warrior (6:19pm May 24, 2009):

I'm both a planner and an impulse buyer. I always try to plan ahead and list the books I want to get when they come out but at the same time I buy on impulse and get things right away because I know the next time I go back it won't be there.

Re: Pretty in Plaid (4:53pm May 18, 2009):

I would rather be early than late so if I can I will arrive as early as possible and just sit and read or look around.

Re: Comfort Food (10:21pm May 3, 2009):

I get derailed all the time. I usually always have my books set up for the month and then when a book that I've been waiting for comes in I sometimes have to wait to read it because I'm already in the middle of or just starting on a book. My fault though LOL

Re: Behind The Shadows (1:45am April 27, 2009):

Well,I read books for therapy because they keep me sane and I buy books, so I guess I'm into retail therapy as long as books are involved.LOL.

Re: The Promise (11:53pm April 19, 2009):

I started reading at 16 while on summer vacation at my aunt's house and she had to work my first day there. She had a whole bookcase of paperback romances. My first romance was Captive Bride, a Regency historical by Johanna Lindsey. I was instantly hooked and have been reading off and on ever since. I read to keep my sanity. To relax. To get away from the real world.

Re: The Accidental Human (4:30pm April 12, 2009):

I admit that there are times when I will pick up a book just because of the cover if it's by an author I have not read before. Sometimes it's the title,,,,,,,,,,,,,,that's on the cover.

I get discouraged by the covers sometimes because if there are people or a person representing characters from the story on the cover they will not match the physical description of the person they are representing in the story.

Re: Summer On Blossom Street (10:29pm March 8, 2009):

Sometimes I can find myself relating to a herione. Just depends on how her life has been and what she's gone through. I tend to really involved in a book at times. So involved that when I go to sleep I will dream that I am the heroine in the story.

Re: The Secret Life of Bees (3:23pm February 8, 2009):

If I read the book first I won't see the movie. The movie always tends to be different from the book in some parts and it always ruins things for me. That happened to me back in the 80's with the North And South Mini-series. I read the book first and then saw the movie and spent the whole time tearing it apart because they changed things. I will either read the book and not watch the movie or the other way around. I won't ever do both.

Re: Obama (8:21pm January 18, 2009):

I dont read anything but romances.

Re: Smoke Screen (6:41pm January 11, 2009):

Whenever I find a new author that I just love I tend to search their backlist for other books. Just depends on how long this author has been around before I discovered her.

Re: Thread of Fear (1:39pm January 4, 2009):

My only New Year's reading resolution is to try more new authors and maybe try to get into more ebooks. I keep seeing some that look really really intersting.
