We usually watch the ball drop on TV from home or a relative's house. We have family time, games, food, etc.

No luck at yard sales, but I used to find good deals at BookCloseouts.com. One very cheap Mary Higgins Clark audiobook and I was hooked on her books.

I just attended my first book release party a few weeks ago. I usually celebrate by buying the book the week it comes out and I read it right away.
