I have not had the pleasure of trying Uni, mainly because I am unfortunately allergic to seafood and shellfish. I would be interested in seeing it in person, however. And maybe convincing my roommate to try it.

Never had uni but have gotten sea cucumbers along the beach in WA and AK...this sounds like a very good read, curious to see how they outsmart the loan shark, b/c you know they will ;)

I love sushi, but I don't think I've tried uni yet. I LOVED

I'm allergic to seafood/shellfish, so I've never tried it. I don't think I'd want to, either. Raw meat of any kind just doesn't appeal to me at all.
