In an era of "Me First" it will be interesting to read about someone who thinks of helping her family before herself. Having the story set in a England also makes it an alluring read for me.

Cradling them in your arms and speaking tenderly to them seems to settle them down unless they are experiencing real pain. It makes one feel so helpless because they can't tell you what is wrong.

How enlightening about the Victorian Era! Living in San Francisco I often walk among the Victorian homes and wonder what life was like back then. If those houses could speak, the stories they could tell...!
