I had just started dating this guy, I was a freshman in college and we had only
met and hung out together. I talked to him a few times, then nothing. On
Valentines day I walked into my dorm room after class and sitting in the middle
of the room was a dozen red roses. A lovely card. I was so floored as I
hadn't heard from him for several days. I later found out, a few nights after
we met the poor guy got into a fight and was suffering a nasty black eye. A
few days later we finally went on our first date. I married him right after my
21st Birthday. We had a beautiful baby boy that year as well.
