The Bully Pulpit

This is going to be a subdued Summer for me this year. My Father passed away at the end of April, and I don't have it in me to go away anywhere this year. There is plenty to do around here, nonetheless, to keep me occupied. Our landlord purchased some paint for us, and my Husband and I will be painting the inside of our place, which could use a little sprucing up. Afterward, I need to go and pick out some new carpeting to replace what is finally looking a little tired, so hopefully my spirits will be lifted again. The book The Bully Pulpit by Doris Kearns Goodwin, is just one of a number of books that are on my list of books I plan on reading. My list consists of all genres, depending on my mood at the time, which is usually the case anyway. I'll be looking forward to some down time in-between painting, even though I find painting to be relaxing. Have a great Summer, everyone!!
