A Bad Valentine's Day Make Wonderful Lasting Memories

My husband and I were driving to Florida on Valentine's Day and finally stopped for the night late at night and exhausted. We decided we should have a dinner to "celebrate" since it was Valentine's Day after all. Well we stopped at a small local restaurant with a very limited menu and both ordered the fried clams. When they came they more closely resembled fried bits of rubber. As we sat there complaining about how horrible the food was, all of a sudden the humor of our "romantic" Valentine's dinner disaster and our fatigue made us start giggling. We kept laughing harder and harder until we had tears running down our faces. To this day, that is the Valentine's Day I remember the most. My husband and I were able to laugh at the situation and enjoy ourselves despite the lack of all the things that are traditionally considered romantic.

Re: A Bad Valentine's Day Make Wonderful Lasting Memories

At the time things like that seem so horrible but later you were wonder why you got so upset when you can look back and laugh. That's what I love about memories that you share with that special someone. If only you thought to bring a camera.
