Re: Welcome to Hickville High (2:34pm October 19, 2015):

I've never been to Texas but was looking at dude ranch vacations there at one point in time.

Re: Driftwood Tides (10:45am September 5, 2014):

With all the 'homework' you did on the setting, I'm sure I will feel like I am right there in North Carolina!

This story sounds like a good one - please enter me in the contest.

Re: A Wedding In Apple Grove (11:19am November 16, 2012):

I enjoy the small town atmosphere. I didn't grow up in a community like that so find these particularly lovely!

Please enter me in your contest - thanks :)

Re: How To Tame A Willful Wife (11:16am November 16, 2012):

I think love for love's sake is great. The best laid plans can go wrong for just this reason!

Your book sounds like an absolutely wonderful escape read, would love to win a copy!

Re: Bruja Brouhaha (12:16pm August 24, 2012):

Interesting 'story behind the story'! I love it! I appreciate when authors make things as authentic as possible in their stories.

Please enter me in the contest. Thanks!

Re: Lord Of Fire And Ice (12:19pm July 5, 2012):

A book about Vikings would be a nice change from all the Regency romances out today. Brandr sounds a bit like Wotan in that he can conjure fire! Would love to read this one :)

Re: The Rogue Pirate's Bride (9:58am February 24, 2012):

I read romance to escape the more unpleasant things in real life. It is a struggle nowadays to stay afloat so spending time with a wonderful book is just the thing to regroup and push on. I value my reading time very much and am thrilled when I am able to find a book that transports me to another time and another place!

Re: Lady Of The English (9:59am September 2, 2011):

I appreciate how you are able to take real-life people and write about them so as they feel like they are contemporaries. I very much enjoy your books!

Re: Red's Hot Cowboy (12:55pm August 24, 2011):

I live where business and suits and ties are the norm. It is fun to read about cowboys because they are so far removed from this. I would love to win a copy of the book!

Re: The Dark Enquiry (9:50am June 27, 2011):

I enjoy reading about the Victorians. Have read many books about the royalty of the time. Really like the fashions of the day!

Re: Louisa And The Missing Heiress (11:32am June 15, 2011):

Currently reading the Jack Aubrey stories, I wonder what his 'out of story' story would be like. I know he's a great naval career guy, but what would his daily home life be like? Or those days at sea where he wasn't pursuing an enemy? And I would like to listen to him and Stephen sawing away at their instruments!

Re: My Favorite Countess (9:48am April 28, 2011):

I like Hawkeye in MASH but don't like to read about doctors. After all, I read books to escape reality and the alpha male is the one I want to escape to!

Re: The Return Of Black Douglas (11:11am April 1, 2011):

My head is spinning with this info about the Highlanders. I guess the further back in time you go, the harder the history is to find. I'm in awe at all the research which needs to be done.

I love reading books set in Scotland. Please enter me in the contest.

Re: The Irish Princess (12:15pm February 2, 2011):

I've been interested in the Tudor period since watching the Other Boleyn Girl a little while ago. This book sounds really intriguing and I love the Irish setting.

Re: Everyone Loves A Hero (12:13pm February 2, 2011):

A small hero moment shared with my son. We rescued 4 feral kitties from outside through many, many attempts. Since, have invited them to stay in our house, now over run with cats! :)

Re: Sparks (11:05am December 3, 2010):

Sparky sounds like a mischievous little kitty!

Books sound like alot of fun.

Re: Secrets Volume 29 Indulge Your Fantasies (3:22pm September 21, 2010):

I enjoy the UK settings. I've visited England/Scotland a few times many years ago now and loved it. My favorite was driving through the highlands, eerily beautiful, especially on that cold, overcast day!

Re: Unchained (12:19pm July 5, 2010):

I LOVE this series and look forward to the next book.

Favorite family tradition lately has been Thanksgiving. ALL the family live close enough to travel to my house for the holiday. It's really nice.

Re: Deadly Liaisons (7:16pm January 2, 2010):

Agree with you that vampires seem more the opera-type and wolves the beer/tavern type. With or without bite - either, as long as they are sexy as h*ll :)

Re: Scorched (10:02am December 1, 2009):

I absolutely LOVED Ravenous. I bought a second copy and gave it to my niece to read and she loved it as well. I'm really looking forward to this book :)

Re: Captive of Sin (9:19am November 24, 2009):

I SO want to read this book! As a matter of fact, it has been on my mind so much I had a dream about it last night :)

Why tortured heroes? I think it brings out the caretakers in us and who better to comfort and care for than our own 'champion'.

Heathcliff does come to mind and I have to say at first I really didn't like him at all. I thought he and Kathy deserved each other, and not in a nice way, until I saw the recent adaptation of Wuthering Heights. That changed my mind - so much, in fact, that I am currently listening to it on audio in my car :)

Re: Over My Dead Body (10:58am November 17, 2009):

What a great story. I can relate to the non-cooking generation. I used to love to cook and make big-ish meals but my family members have dwindled down too, so it is easier to make something quick. Occasionally I'll make that big meal with dessert but only when the mood swings me. It better swing me this Thanksgiving, though, as I am hosting dinner at my house :)

Re: The Trials Of The Honorable F. Darcy (9:57am October 15, 2009):

I think that is why Jane Austen's books are still popular today. She truly understood how people were and why they sometimes acted the way they did (well, after awhile in Darcy's case anyway!).

I'm not sure I identify with any particular character but enjoy the fact that all the 'heroes' and 'heroines' are not prefect by any means!

Re: The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society (10:30am July 9, 2009):

Twilight - while it was interesting enough, I didn't think it was truly special. I'm finding I have the same opinion while reading the second book in this series, too...
