Valentines and Diabetes

My boyfriend was taking me out to dinner, but when I arrived at his house I wasn't feeling very well. All of a sudden I jumped up and told him I had to go home, and took off in my car. I got halfway home, and had to pull off the road and call 911! I was a newly diagnosed diabetic, and was having a problem with my blood sugar. I was very confused (a symptom of the problem), and my boyfriend arrived very upset with me for taking off. Of course, he also had a giant pink teddy bear and a box of sugar free chocolates, lol. As a result, we started learning together how to tell when I was having a problem as a result of my diabetes. Funny now, but definitely not at the time....I did get my dinner out at a later date.
