Book Title: BEWITCHING ROSEMARY
Character Name: Rosemary Bay
How would you describe your family?
I love my sisters more than anything! I’m the second of five girls and while we’ve had some serious rough patches, we always make it through the hard times together.
What was your greatest talent?
Hmmm. I would have to say either arranging a perfect bridal bouquet or my ability to look at two people and know they should be together.
Significant other?
I’m still waiting for the one…he’s on his way, though. I can tell.
Biggest challenge in relationships?
I tend to jump headfirst into things. There’s no such thing as taking things slow in my book.
Where do you live?
I live on Star Island off the coast of Massachusetts. It’s absolutely beautiful.
Do you have any enemies?
As hard as I might try, there are people who just don’t like me. Some carrying grudges from hundreds of years ago. But I swear, none of it is my fault.
How do you feel about the place where you are now? Is there something you are particularly attached to, or particularly repelled by, in this place?
I try not to get too attached to physical things. I love the cottage I share with my sisters, but I won’t be sad when it’s time to move on.
Do you have children, pets, both, or neither?
Currently, I have a toad. She’s not really a pet, more like a very dear friend.
What do you do for a living?
I’m a florist.
Greatest disappointment?
That’s a hard one! I try to keep a positive attitude and remember that everything happens for a reason. I lost my parents young and went through a major grieving process, but it has led my sisters and I to be very close.
Greatest source of joy?
Working in the garden on a sunny June morning.
What do you do to entertain yourself or have fun?
I’m a meddler. I can’t help it. Sometimes I might whisper a few choice words at a wedding reception or town party and see what happens!
What is your greatest personal failing, in your view?
I’m not great at respecting boundaries. I don’t know how many times my sisters have had to remind me not to discuss their intimate relationships in public…I need to get better at that.
What keeps you awake at night?
Dreaming of my soulmate finally arriving. I’ve been waiting for a very long time.
What is the most pressing problem you have at the moment?
A generational curse over my blood line. It’s…more than a headache.
Is there something that you need or want that you don’t have?
I would love to break the curse over my family. If another magical person is able to collect blood samples from all five of us…well, at best our magic would disappear, at worst we would probably die.
Why don’t you have it? What is in the way?
It was cast as an unbreakable curse. But we are trying. Magic is a lot stronger than it was 300 years ago when it was cast. I have a good feeling about us. Have to stay positive!
