Romance Historical

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Grace Burrowes comes another sparkling Regency romance filled with desire and drama

It's a dog's life...

Will Dorning, as an earl's spare, has accepted the thankless duty of managing his rambunctious younger siblings, though Will's only true companions are the dogs he's treasured since boyhood. When aristocratic London is plagued with a series of dog-nappings, Will's brothers are convinced that he's the only person who can save the stolen canines from an awful fate.

But the lady's choice... Shy, bookish Lady Susannah Haddonfield has no patience with loud, smelly beasts of any species, but must appear to like dogs so as not to offend her sister's only marital prospect. Susannah turns to Will, an acquaintance from her most awkward adolescent years, to teach her how to impersonate a dog fancier. Will has long admired Susannah, though he lacks the means to offer for her, and yet as they work together to rescue the purloined pets, it's loyal, dashing Will who steals Susannah's heart.

Re: Will's True Wish

My favorite thing about dogs is their loyalty to their master.

They can keep strangers away from your house and they are so happy to see you when you get home . Their tails are almost wagging off !! Love to win these books . Thanks for the chance .

My favorite thing about dogs is their companionship.
(
Janie McGaugh 4:17pm February 2, 2016)

For many years, I was the proud co-parent to 6 German
Shepherd dogs and a Golden Retriever-and a domestic
shorthair cat. For those years, they gave me companionship,
friendship and unconditional love. I and my ex gave them
food, a home, love and various toys, and no matter what we
gave them, they gave us so much more. It's indescribable how
much they helped me and made me a better, more loving
person.

Dogs always have a way of cheering me up even if it's just by wagging their tail!

Unconditional love
(
Joanne Hicks 9:47pm February 2, 2016)

The one thing I like about dogs are the fact they love you no matter what. They don't care what you look like or what type of person you are; they just love you for you.
(
Catherine White 11:22pm February 2, 2016)

Their loyalty and love to their family!
(
Bonnie Capuano 10:06am February 3, 2016)

I love the loyalty they show also all the love they give to
you like if you mean the world to them their unconditional
love and support being with you and offering support and
friendship through sickness and good health. I had 2 dogs and
one crossed the rainbow bridge I was sick for a month with
grief and sorrow I only have 1 left and if anything should
happen to him I don't think Ill be getting another one in the
future I can't handle the pain it's too much for me to bear
(

I love that they are always loyal and that they are so smart and can be
trained to do so many different things - like dogs that are trained to smell
certain scents, or dogs that are trained to help in farming, or dogs that are
trained to offer protection, or simply - a dog that is trained with love and
compassion as a family pet!

Our dog is the best friend you could have, my daughter adopted him over a year ago and we all love him.

I love that dogs give unconditional affection and acceptance to "their people." Thanks for a nice post, Grace.
(
G S Moch 8:32pm February 3, 2016)

I love dogs and cats but dogs have always been my favorite. They seem to be a lot more affectionate than cats. Also they are a lot more playful.
(
Linda Henderson 10:33am February 4, 2016)

It's got to be their unconditional love of their family and their master!
(
Bonnie Capuano 12:01pm February 4, 2016)

Dogs love you no matter what!
(
Uhura Mitchell 1:06pm February 4, 2016)

Not only does a dog give you unconditional love but it's
the greeting you are given every time you come home. It's
like they haven't seen you in weeks and it's only been a
few hours.
(
Elsie Hogarth 2:01pm February 4, 2016)

I love dogs because they become good companions and they admire you
unconditionally.
(
Joy Isley 2:23pm February 4, 2016)

I love that dogs are so affectionate and forgiving.

Joanne Schultz 2:28pm February 4, 2016)

Presently we don't own a dog, but three wonderful cats own us! When my
mother had her little dog, Zacky, he spent a lot of time with us and he was
just so accepting of the cats and they of him that it was like having four
friends to keep me company during the day.
(
Laurel Chevlen 8:52pm February 4, 2016)

We don't own a dog, but three cats own us. However, when my Mom had
Zacky, a little bichon frise, he often came to visit and he was always so
accepting and nice to the cats that it felt as if I had four friends of some
similar breed (?) keeping me company during the day.
(
Laurel Chevlen 8:56pm February 4, 2016)

No animals in our house. But, I do feed the wild birds outside. Does that count?
(
MaryAnne Banks 10:58pm February 4, 2016)

companions.

My dogs ran away when i was a kid and found their way home.
They were loyal and a good guard dog when my dad was about
discipline me for acting up. that's what i love about dogs.
They protect you. I miss them. Dogs are smart too and
hilarious.

Dogs are fun to be around and, if you show them love and kindness, they love and trust you.
(
Anna Speed 11:29am February 6, 2016)

dogs are always happy to see you (especially if you give them
a good rub & scratch)!
(
Diane Sallans 3:39pm February 6, 2016)

We had dogs when we had children. Now the children are adults with children of their own. We have a granddog, a miniature Australian sheepdog who is just perfect for us. Never forgets us, turns himself inside out to greet us. What's not to love!!
(
Anne Hoile 3:57pm February 6, 2016)

I love how they have a favorite person and that was usually me. I also love
how they would be repetitive. During summer break I would comb or lab
over and over and we would walk the same trail over and over, sometimes
more than once a day.
(
Laura Gullickson 5:32pm February 6, 2016)

I love their antics.
(
G. Bisbjerg 9:30pm February 6, 2016)

(
Melinda Marks 10:56pm February 6, 2016)

I have two furry, 4-legged granddaughters that are my son's constant companions. When he leaves them here, they won't let me out of their sight. I look forward to their visits. I have at least 5 friends that I hope are waiting for me at the rainbow bridge.
