Jim Tremain watched the magnificent bird soar through the
air and land on
Dahlia Kincaid's gloved arm. The eagle was, stunning, but
Dahlia was the most
breathtaking woman he'd ever seen. Would this beautiful
ornithologist allow him
to headquarter his search for an international poaching ring
on her Colorado
ranch?
Jim reminded Dahlia of Nar, her golden eagle: he was
dangerous, powerful,
gloriously masculine. But Jim Tremain wasn't the predator
he'd first seemed.
His eyes contained kindness and understanding. Could she
risk her heart—with
everything to lose, but so much to gain?

KINCAID series. This was the second “non” series I wrote for Silhouette to prove to to them that writing the first, TRAVIS SERIES, wasn’t a fluke. This time, they were all written for Silhouette Special Edition, so that was a positive change (instead of having, like the Travis series, published in two different series lines, one at Harlequin and the other two at Silhouette). Book 1 Heart of the Eagle, Book 2 A Measure of Love, Book 3 Solitaire. All have the theme of Nature in them. Two are cowboy books, (1 and 2) and the third takes place down in Muzo, Columbia, at the emerald mines.
AUTHOR COMMENT: this takes place on the Triple K ranch in Colorado. I loved writing about a raptor rehabilitator, Dal Kincaid. The hero is part Native American. I was able to get in a lot about Nature, the land, the animals and had a lot of fun with Nar, the golden eagle and Dal’s cat, who played hide-n-seek with the big, bold eagle. And Dal had her own secrets but it is Jim’s tenderness toward her that allow her to try once again to reach out and love.
