That was what Rafe Kincaid offered her. Yet Jessie knew it
wasn’t enough -- for either of them.
She’d come to protect the wild horses that roamed his land.
But one look at the proud, defiant rancher was enough to
warn her -- it was her heart that was in danger. Rafe ha
lost love once to tragedy, and Jessie feared she could never
persuade him to take that chance again. Or could she?
Could their passion convince him to abandon the
past...before history repeated itself?
KINCAID series. This was the second “non” series I wrote
for Silhouette to prove to to them that writing the first,
TRAVIS SERIES, wasn’t a fluke. This time, they were all
written for Silhouette Special Edition, so that was a
positive change (instead of having, like the Travis series,
published in two different series lines, one at Harlequin
and the other two at Silhouette). Book 1 Heart of the
Eagle, Book 2 A Measure of Love, Book 3 Solitaire. All have
the theme of Nature in them. Two are cowboy books, (1 and
2) and the third takes place down in Muzo, Columbia, at the
emerald mines.
AUTHOR COMMENT: I’m a Nature girl, prefer country life,
avoid cities at all cost and the only sounds I want to hear
at night is crickets and frogs, not sirens and bleating of
car horns. Rafe Kincaid is the iconic, stoic, alpha cowboy
who runs a ranch. Jessie, who works for the BLM, Bureau of
Land Management, is called out to investigate a report that
the owner of the Triple K in Colorado is shooting mustangs
that encroach upon his ranch land. She’s been an office
girl not a field investigator, but she loves horses and
takes the assignment, never realizing her heart has a stake
in this as well.
Author Note
Dear Reader,
I'm jazzed! My second trilogy for Silhouette Special Edition back in 1987 never received recognition by the publisher that this was the second 3-book series I'd written. No one believed it could be done. I'm the creator of the 3-book continued series concept. I'm happy that Harlequin has righted this and now the Kincaid Trilogy is finally going to be available as Ebooks for all ereader platforms on 9.16.2014!
Here they are with Author comments, which some people like to have Enjoy and if you don't have my 3 earlier books (1987), then here is your chance to get them mid-September, 2014
