When mining engineer Cat Kincaid was trapped in a cave-in,
it was gently
bullying Slade Donovan who talker her through the terrifying
hours until her
rescue. And it was slyly masterful Slade Donovan who
spirited her home to his
Texas ranch to heal.
Though drawn to Slade’s rugged brand of courage, though
warmed by his
masculine attentions, Cat felt deeply, uncomfortably
indebted to him. And
now, he needs her expertise to help him build an emerald
mine. But would
risking her life again earn merely his gratitude, when what
she wanted was his
love?
KINCAID series. This was the second “non” series I wrote
for Silhouette to
prove to to them that writing the first, TRAVIS SERIES,
wasn’t a fluke. This
time, they were all written for Silhouette Special Edition,
so that was a
positive change (instead of having, like the Travis series,
published in two
different series lines, one at Harlequin and the other two
at Silhouette).
Book 1 Heart of the Eagle, Book 2 A Measure of Love, Book 3
Solitaire. All
have the theme of Nature in them. Two are cowboy books, (1
and 2) and the
third takes place down in Muzo, Columbia, at the emerald
mines.
AUTHOR COMMENT: I got to strut my knowledge of emeralds
from my GIA (Gemology
Institute of America) diploma for Colored Stones. I have a
personal love of
emeralds. They are one of my favorite along with opals. I
was born in the
month of May and emerald is that month’s gemstone, so
perhaps that’s why I
love this remarkable gemstone! I took my knowledge of South
American emerald
mines, mostly in Columbia, to create this book. I
particularly liked the fact
that Cat Kincaid, who almost died in a mining cave-in, has
the guts to go into
and help build another mine later when Slade asks her favor
to help him. What
she doesn’t know is that her heart is going to give her the
courage to face
her greatest fears. And also bring Cat her greatest love.
Author Note
Dear Reader,
I'm jazzed! My second trilogy for Silhouette Special Edition back in 1987 never received recognition by the publisher that this was the second 3-book series I'd written. No one believed it could be done. I'm the creator of the 3-book continued series concept. I'm happy that Harlequin has righted this and now the Kincaid Trilogy is finally going to be available as Ebooks for all ereader platforms on 9.16.2014!
Here they are with Author comments, which some people like to have Enjoy and if you don't have my 3 earlier books (1987), then here is your chance to get them mid-September, 2014
