Jane Day is on the run from the paid assassin who had been her fiancé. In Wichita Falls, Texas, she meets Nellie Luckadeau, a spitfire of an old lady who desperately needs someone to work on her ranch. But Nellie's drop-dead gorgeous grandson "Lucky Slade" is sure he can spot a con artist a mile away. He's determined not to let some upstart like Jane fleece his granny. When his signature intimidation methods don't convince Jane to leave, he pours on the charm to make her spill what she's up to. She's happy to play along, but she's not going to let this hot, hostile cowboy run her off his land when all she needs is a lucky break...

Great interview. Jane Day has a neat sense of humor and sounds like an all round good character in the book. I'd love to read the "Lucky" books. Thanks. (DeeAnn Szymanski 9:41am November 5, 2009)
OMG! Could a book cover be any hotter! As for Jane Day eating all that food and not gaining a pound, I am totally jealous! How amazing it is to loose yourself in a good book! (Stefanie Finn 9:45am November 5, 2009)
I'm glad that Jane found someone who didn't hurt women - it's a sad day when women come to expect being hurt by the onew who are supposed to protect them! (Karin Tillotson 10:04am November 5, 2009)
I love Luke's last name! Thanks! Marjorie (Marjorie Carmony 10:07am November 5, 2009)
Carolyn, what a great idea for an interview. I LOVED IT!!! I hate to say I have not read your books but they sure are on my list now..that is why I am here on the web sites//to find new authors. I retired and have more time to read books so I want to see what I have been missing and you are one great author I am sorry I missed all these years. I sure hope to make it up and I love western style romance so much. The closest thing I could find to a real cowboy was a country boy but I guess he was my cup of tea as we just celebrated 46 years together as man and wife. I think it will last!!! ha ha Have a good day. susan leech (Susan Leech 10:14am November 5, 2009)

I know a book is great when I find myself laughing like a fool when I'm by myself. It is a joy to find one of those, they are just too rare. We all need more opportunities to laugh. (Patricia Barraclough 12:23pm November 6, 2009)
Sounds like the female character has a firm grip on the important things in life. Any story told with humor is sure to be a winner! And yes, I think we Texans have big hearts and are truly blessed with a generous dose of humor. (Susan Driskill 12:31pm November 6, 2009)
Pls count me in - I have Book 1 on my tbr - it is in very good company. Love series books! (Pat Lieberman 6:46am November 6, 2009)

Hey thanks for keeping in character. Interviews told from the point of view of main characters help me glean a lot of background and further discovery of motivation, intention and sometimes revenge. (Alyson Widen 5:34pm November 6, 2009)
I finished reading One Lucky Coowboy today and it is one of the most exhilerating books that I have read lately. It has comments that will make you hold your sides with laughter and others that will make you sigh and bring a tear to your eye. Very well written and attention grapper and holder. Excellent read. (Diana Smith 4:59pm November 7, 2009)

They were both so very, very good, really kept my interest and left me oh-so-satisfied. I highly recommend them both to everyone - and come on January! (Joyce Bair 5:35pm December 13, 2009)
