Re: Deep Blue (12:52pm August 15, 2012):

I've only been on one cruise. I would love to go on another. When we first booked the trip I had thoughts of luxury suites like in the old Fred Astaire movies. We had a inside cabin and when you turned out the light, it was so black, we literally could not see out hands in front of our faces. It also was hard to determine what time it was, and we always worried we'd oversleep. If we get a chance to cruise again, we're most definitely getting a suite with a balcony. :))

Re: Primal Possession (12:44pm August 15, 2012):

I have to agree with you Katie, it depends on my mood. ;-) I like my heroines to be a good mix of tough, venerable and smart. Some of my favorite heroines are able to retort with snarky repartee and never miss a beat, even under pressure. (Secretly I wish I was as quick with the repartee. :-) ) If the heroine is wishy-washy or whiney I tend to lose interest in the story.

Re: Hellsbane (2:14am December 8, 2011):

Christmas has changed for us. My daughter is grown now and has a life outside of her parental units:-) We've taken our small family and added it to a cousins, and we have a wonderful dinner and then sit and chat. It's all low key and relaxing. I still miss all the crazy fun we had when the kids were small and the paper would go flying, the cats in the 'real' tree and we nearly resembled 'Christmas Vacation'!

Re: Ward Against Death (1:00pm August 27, 2011):

I worked in finance for 28 years...boring but it paid the bills & insurance. My dream was to be my own boss; a card & gift store. Then I realized I could combine all the things I love if I owned a' indie' book store, with cool gifts and recycled cards. I've always been a voracious reader and I love to share my enthusiasm for books:) With the economy in the toilet and the stock market eating my future retirement, my dream is a long shot, but I'm not giving up. If all else fails I keep my part-time job working at a flower shop;]

Re: An Unlikely Countess (6:29pm March 19, 2011):

I like the Regency glamour period. As well as other timeframes. They are like mini time machines that give us a glimpse of what life was like in the past. It’s fun to live vicariously through the books characters ;-)

Re: Double Cross (10:19pm December 22, 2010):

Thanks for the chance to win. Merry Christmas

Re: Icecapade (12:24pm December 13, 2010):

I'm a hopeless romantic, so mystery or not I love a good love story;-) Thanks for a chance to win.

Re: His At Night (4:20pm May 25, 2010):

Historicals give us a glimpse of the past and I sometimes wonder what happened, how did things change so much? It's nice to go back in time and enjoy the best of that time and still come back to the present with our technology:-)

Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (9:54pm October 25, 2009):

I loved your article about starving and perspective. I know when I was young that we never went hungry-my Mother was a fabulous cook. She made Chicken ala King taste like a million bucks. We always had food on the table, my parents rarely (maybe once a year) would eat out. McDonalds and White Castle were the fast food joints in the area, I can count on one hand how many times we had fast food. It's strange that today fast food is the norm, but given how kids and young adults are starving for money-I see where it goes. LOL

Re: The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society (8:49am July 6, 2009):

It's not often that I dislike a book or find it hard to get through, but one does stand out. I happened to see 'The White City' by Alec Michod. I thought that might be a good read, a little history of the World's Fair in Chicago; since I'm a native of Chi-town I took a chance. It was so hard for me to get through; in fact I never did finish it. I'm sure that others found it wonderful, I just couldn't engage. I guess I'll stick to the romance, paranormal and urban fantasy genres;-)

Re: The Red Pony (6:22pm June 7, 2009):

I don't recall many of my reading selections from High School, I know we read Catcher in the Rye and a few other classics but I don't recall enjoying them. Sad, I think the teacher was bored and that translated to me. It took me years to re-new my love of books that started in grammer school. In grammer school I bought enough books to help keep the publisher happy;-) Seems I've reverted back to those days in the last few years. LOL

Re: Dead Until Dark (11:52am September 15, 2008):

Hi Candice,
I love the True Blood series and my Daughter and her friends are hooked as well. I hope it has some staying power. I actually order HBO just for that show;-)

Re: Billionaire's Marriage Bargain (4:09pm August 13, 2008):

I really enjoy these fast (read) romances. They're definately a guilty pleasure for me:-) I'm adding this one to my 'to be read pile'. Have a great week.
