Romance LGBTQ
On the eve of the new millennium, diamond thief Noel Snow
seduced FBI special agent Robert Cuffe, then fled into the
dawn. Now a successful novelist, Noel uses his capers as
fodder for his books, and has modeled his hero's nemesis
(and potential love interest) on Cuffe. Though he leaves
Robert a drunken phone message every New Year's Eve, Noel
hasn't seen or heard from him in a decade. So he's thrilled when his former lover shows up at his
upstate farm one Christmas Eve. Elation quickly turns to
alarm when Robert accuses Noel of being responsible for a
recent rash of diamond heists. Robert is all business and as
cold as ice: it seems his only interest in Noel is to put
him behind bars. Innocent of the crimes, and still as attracted as ever to
the oh-so-serious lawman, Noel plans a second
seduction—providing he can stay out of jail long enough!

I had never considered before the "mystery" elements that had been included in the many romances that I've read. This is going to make be consider things is an entirely new way. I now also realize that many of the "classic" novels that I have read have had underlining themes of both as well.
When you consider books in this light many other genres come to mind that also include both elements even books like Hunt to Red October, one of my husband's favorites since he flew on P-3's in the Navy. Wait until I tell him that he's been reading mystery and romance books all along! (Jeanne Miro 8:52am December 13, 2010)

It sounds like you put the perfect combination together for this book. Romance with the FBI!! lol Seriously, it does sound like your book will make for interesting reading, and I can't wait to read it! It's also a clever title. I do think the two go together, and agree with your thought process. That's another reason that has drawn me to your book. Have a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year!! Sad, sad. That Noel is so lonely each New Year's Eve he has to get drunk to call his one and only love: Just to leave a message.

Mystery and romance, just the right kind of book for me. (Anna Speed 1:13pm December 13, 2010)
I don't find it mysterious at all. I do however find breaking it down fascinating. The whys that is... For the romances that last there are a lot more layers to get under and deeper holes to dig down to get to the heart of it (no pun intended). For the shorter ones it more obvious...lol.
