The annual Key West literary conference is taking a new tack and bringing food writers from all over the country. Hayley is attending with her mother. Hayley will be writing some food reviews of the restaurants that are part of the conference and hoping to pick up some interesting gossip.
Critic Jonah Barrows and his tell all memoir have already shaken the industry. When his keynote address promises to expose more industry secrets, there are quite a few writers who hope to stop him. The reception after the keynote speech is so crowded that Hayley visits the restroom, hoping the line for food will have diminished when she returns.
Upon her return, Hayley discovers the body of Jonah Barrows in a small pool. Once again, Hayley will be drawn into an investigation as the police look at her as the primary suspect. When they arrest her friend, Eric, Hayley will move into high gear.
Hayley and her mother will investigate as they eat their way across Key West. As always, the food descriptions made me ravenous. There are some amusing moments along with the well-plotted and interesting mystery. Be prepared to drool as you read DEATH IN FOUR COURSES.
