In Canada you never know exactly when spring will be sprung. One year in April
my husband an I had bought our spring flowers even though we knew it was a
little too early; but the weather had been warm and beautiful. Then in May we
got a surprise winter storm with 25 cm of snow: everything we had planted froze
and died. We learned our leson: we wait till May now before we plant our
flowers, even though it's hard to control ourseleves when the beautiful weather
comes along
