Musings, greetings, and notes for the season.

Santa's Footsteps

Every year we have Santa's footsteps. I started because with a raised ranch and no fireplace I wanted the children to think Santa stopped. It's always fun.

I put baby powder (1/3 cup) in a large brown bag, place men's shoes on top, with your hands walk the shoes in from the door to the Xmas tree.

The powder stays all day, slowly fading. I tell the kids its magic snow.

Making wonderful happy memories is what the holidays should be.

Re: Santa's Footsteps

Like my mom conviencing my sister's kids that I (super aunt) was santa's helper?? I always was doing the kind of things one would expect of someone in Santa's employ, and somehow the had them going along with this idea. Hope they understand the concept of "the meaning of Christmas" when they get old enough.
Love your idea, btw!
Happy Holidays.
