Re: Puppy Christmas (11:08am November 18, 2019):
What a lovely interview--thanks for visiting with us and sharing about your Christmas traditions!
Re: Temptation (2:04am August 28, 2019):
That is HILARIOUS! I LOVED Grease 2! Maxwell Caufield!!! No need to include me--Temptation is AMAZING! Grease 2 references not needed ;)
Re: The Mulligan (3:11pm February 9, 2015):
Returning to dance ;)
Re: Finding Mercy (3:10pm February 9, 2015):
Finding a change of scene can help--taking a walk can do that, and also I find that walking itself can help clear my mind to the point where I can come at the question in a different way :)
Re: Playing It Close (12:54pm April 19, 2014):
I haven't yet seen a rugby match, but I hear they can be quite exciting! Looking forward to reading about rugby players ;)
Re: Bite Me (11:07am March 27, 2014):
I never would have guessed some of how you've gotten there paths, but I guess that's part of the beauty of an author's mind ;) While I'm probably also one incident from becoming a full-on hoarder, that hasn't ever inspired any fantastic stories! I guess that differentiates incredible authors from the rest of us :D As for others I've been curious about, I have been so amazed at some of the world building in the Harry Potter stories--it'd be fun if JK Rowling were to have the time and inclination to sit down and tell all ;) In the meantime, thank YOU for writing the Pride series-- your books are all on my keeper shelf, and I re-read them regularly. Thanks for writing such fantastic stories, no matter how the inspiration for them strikes you!
Re: South Of Surrender (6:29pm June 1, 2013):
Very cool, Laura--I've always enjoyed books where one of the leads has what would be considered a disability. It really gives the character a chance to shine, and reveals so much about his/her personality. Teresa Medeiros's Yours Until the Dawn features a blind hero, for instance :)
Re: The Sword Dancer (11:08am May 22, 2013):
Oh... I DO love that enemies to lovers, Jeannie! And LOL! Bathtub scenes, eh? (Love that kitty ;)) As for other tropes I love, I do really love a good friends-to-lovers--maybe it's that whole "wow, I see you in a completely new way" that makes that fun to read :)
Re: Live And Let Love (5:39pm December 28, 2012):
This sounds like an exciting premise! Sounds like Willow and Jack/Con have an interesting road ahead!
Re: Jane's Gift (2:11pm December 8, 2012):
Ooh... thanks for the peeky, Karen! Can't wait to add this to my TBR!
Re: Dreamers (10:45am January 21, 2012):
Whoa, Shawn! This sounds like a very captivating story--I'm completely intrigued by this world you've envisioned! It'd be such a shock to find out this sort of life-changing information--I'm not sure how well I'd take it! Somiar's got a tough road ahead!
Re: The Spy Who Left Me (1:14am November 26, 2011):
I'll be adding to my TBR and trying to find time to read from it, I'm sure! Thanks, Gina!
Re: Money Shot (5:05pm June 10, 2011):
Dialogue, dialogue, dialogue! The others are nice, but I LOVE snappy dialogue! Yours is first rate, btw, Susan!
Re: When Wicked Craves (5:41pm September 29, 2010):
LOL! Our neighborhood seems relatively simple and dare I say, boring? Of course, maybe that's all too hide the interesting things going on inside people's homes! Who knows what the neighbors might be up to in this quiet suburban block? :D
Congrats on When Pleasure Rules--what an exciting series!
Re: Deadly Fear (4:45pm August 26, 2010):
Hi, Cynthia! I think that when the author lets us see some of the "monsters'" vulnerabilities, it makes them easier to relate to. It's the same with villains, where if the author lets us see what motivates them and it's something we can see ourselves caring about, it makes the whole character much more sympathetic.
As for getting into a killer's mind, I admit I find that rather creepy! Not always my cup of tea ;p
Re: Fatal Affair (5:46pm June 24, 2010):
Hi, Marie! An unforgettable hero is caring (although doesn't always wear it on his sleeve), competent, committed. And it doesn't hurt if he's hot :)
Re: Dead in the Family (12:17pm May 31, 2010):
I don't think this is quite urban fantasy, but I'm about to dive into Skin Tight (Ava Gray's 2nd Skin book) and I can't wait!! Happy reading to you, too!
Re: Blown Away (12:16pm May 31, 2010):
In general, I like to wait if I can until all three books are out--then I can go on a binge and enjoy them all at once :)
Re: A Certain Wolfish Charm (3:33am March 31, 2010):
Ooh, yes, PLEASE! I love my HEAs, and am delighted that you've written a new one to add to my TBB! A Certain Wolfish Charm sounds excellent!
Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (3:27am March 31, 2010):
What a great woman your grandmother was! And what a great legacy she's left you in her stories :)
Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (1:12am February 28, 2010):
Wow, that's an exciting visit to the store, Tina! As for anthologies, I love them-- whether they're a collection by a single author or selections by different authors, I gobble them up! :)
Re: The Mane Squeeze (1:07am February 28, 2010):
I love Shelly's writing! She's definitely in the read-for-fun category! I never enjoyed the reading for school I had to do--engineering texts never held my attention in quite the same way!
Re: Seeing Red (1:06am February 28, 2010):
No goals completed in terms of reading this month--it's been busy, so it's been harder to get reading time! One I really enjoyed was a Christmas anthology-- Together by Christmas, with stories by Nicola Cornick, Catherine George, and Louise Allen. Those are new-to-me authors, and I'll be looking for more of their writing :)
Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (7:22pm December 15, 2009):
Thanks for sharing your memories! I love the family and friend times during this season!
Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (1:13am November 29, 2009):
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, making new memories to join the old ones :)
Re: Captive of Sin (3:55pm November 24, 2009):
Hi, Anna! Gideon does sound like a particularly wonderful hero--I can see why we'd all be adithering! I think the fascination with tortured heroes is knowing that they've got such deep emotions, and wanting to be the one to be the focus of their passionate nature!
Re: Lucky Break (11:42pm September 30, 2009):
Congrats on the latest!! Can't wait to read this one, too :)
Re: Tie Me Down (4:42pm September 4, 2009):
What a lovely post, Tracy! I have yet to visit New Orleans :( As for a city of my heart, probably San Francisco! So much life and culture in such a relatively small space :)
Re: Feels Like The First Time (5:14pm August 26, 2009):
I haven't done this one yet, but a bag of jelly beans--you get a clear garbage bag and cut leg and arm holes into it; step in, fill the rest of the space with assorted balloons, and tie a bow around your shoulders/neck. :) Lovely to see you here, Tawny! ;)
Re: Tortured (11:14am August 18, 2009):
Hi, Amanda! Just following/stalking ;) you around :)
Re: Love At First Flight (1:58am July 3, 2009):
Awww... that was an awesome interview, Marie (and Michael!) Loved LoS, and LaFF sounds like it'll be an incredibly good read as well!
Re: The Promise (1:50am June 5, 2009):
Congrats on The Promise, TJ! I remember when The Legacy first debuted and hearing about that! Do you have another related book planned? (I thought I recalled a trilogy?)
Re: Fight Fire With Fire (7:38pm May 2, 2009):
Huge congrats on your latest, Amy! Your series is a terrific one!
Re: Sophie's Secret (3:16am March 19, 2009):
I didn't know that there was a new More Than Words Volume coming out! I've loved the previous collections, and really enjoy how you authors have created stories inspired by real-life heroines! Thank you!
Re: Simple Wishes (7:24pm March 11, 2009):
Congrats on Simple Wishes, Lisa--it sounds like the kind of story I enjoy reading--a community of interesting characters and of course, romance :)
