Re: In From The Cold (8:24am February 3, 2013):

Snowboarding is a lot of fun, but a book in front of the fire sounds good too.

Re: The Autumn Bride (7:42am January 31, 2013):

I just like to read books and enjoy them. I find it difficult to talk about them.

Re: Falling for her Fiance (8:50am January 23, 2013):

Humor and composure in the face of crisis.

Re: Real Men Don\'t Break Hearts (8:36am January 23, 2013):

The little details about the characters may be irrelevant to the story but I think they're absolutely essential. I'd get nothing out of reading a book if the characters begin and end as strangers to me.

Re: After the Rain (7:13am January 21, 2013):

If I could do-over, I would go back to when I was younger and follow the career path I really wanted, and not listen to anyone who doubted me.

Re: A Little Bit Wicked (7:52am December 29, 2012):

I make New Year's resolutions every year, but break them every time. I'll try again, though, because like you I believe it's important to aim for something.

Re: Live And Let Love (10:06am December 28, 2012):

I received a couple of books for Christmas. I think they're a great gift. Happy New Year!

Re: Holiday Buzz (9:00am December 4, 2012):

I can't wait to read "Holiday Buzz". Even though I'm not a coffee drinker I could be tempted to become one.

Re: Wish Upon A Christmas Star (8:43am December 2, 2012):

My Christmas wish is to have a peaceful day. It would mean more to me than any present.

Re: A Christmas Bride / Christmas Beau (7:11am November 27, 2012):

I agree with all your comments about the Christmas season, particularly about its power of love and peace and goodwill. I wish the Christmas spirit could extend throughout the whole year.

Re: Taming the Outback (7:57am November 25, 2012):

A feisty heroine is a must - especially if she's feisty in a humorous way. I like heroines who muddle their way through, whose inner dialogues paint a completely different picture to the outward confidence they show.

Re: Christmas On Mimosa Lane (8:10am November 8, 2012):

Tinker Bell

My ideal Christmas would see my loved ones sitting around a dinner table full of delicious Christmas fare, happy and relaxed with no thoughts of the problems that plague the rest of the year.

Re: The Snow White Christmas Cookie (8:55am November 4, 2012):

Old Lyme sounds like a great place to live. It must be so interesting to have a street full of colorful neighbours to add some spice to life, in a time when most neighbours don't get to know each other at all.
I don't agree with the reporter's prediction of The Grinch stealing the mail. I'd be more inclined to think it was somebody who was hoping there would be Christmas cards with a gift of money in them.

Re: Deadly Little Lies (9:59am September 18, 2012):

It's a standard answer these days, but "To Kill a Mockingbird" has left the greatest impression on me. Perhaps not as much as a pair of Puma shoes leaves on some, but a great deal.

Re: The Curse (9:26am September 16, 2012):

I haven't got an e-reader yet but I'm looking forward to reading ebooks one day. I'll never stop reading print books, though. I can't imagine choosing to read a classic on an ereader rather than being able to hold the book in my hands and turn the pages.

Re: Chasing a Dream (10:38am September 11, 2012):

Naysayers told me I wouldn't be able to complete university and I almost believed them, but I studied online, persevered and accomplished my goal.
As the saying goes, those who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.

Re: A Cup Full Of Midnight (11:03am September 6, 2012):

So far I haven't visited any places I've read about in books, but I hope to one day - it would be great fun to see what the characters have seen, especially if it's a book you really love.

Re: Fool For Love (10:43am August 29, 2012):

That's a club I would love to be a part of, or at least read about. The cover is beautiful, as well.

Re: Immortally Yours (11:23am August 27, 2012):

"Yeti Style Shocker! Blames Global Warming for Receding Hairline"

I wouldn't worry about comments regarding you making things up for a living - a lot of journalists do these days.

Re: In the Line of Duty (10:23am August 26, 2012):

It might say something about the way books are written and what a lot of authors think readers want, but I was surprised (pleasantly) for a moment when you said the hero cop would be a woman. I think it's a great idea, and a real point of difference.

Re: Blame It On Texas (10:12am August 26, 2012):

This sounds like a really good plot even without humor, but with humor makes me even more interested to read it. For me, a sense of humor makes the characters more relatable and makes me care about what happens to them more than if they're all serious and distant.

Re: Hearse And Buggy (11:20am August 17, 2012):

I find the Amish community very interesting, yet I've never read any Amish-themed books. I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but your cover of 'Hearse and Buggy' makes me want to start reading right away. I'm guessing even the seemingly simplest of communities will be full of complications.
p.s. Isn't walking barefoot the greatest?

Re: Sweet Deception (1:05pm August 13, 2012):

I'm stubborn about finishing things. I don't like to leave anything I've started unfinished.

Re: The Bull Rider's Brother (9:54am August 12, 2012):

I like stories set in small towns, so I think I'll start with that. Good luck with it all, Lynn.

Re: Seducing Cinderella (9:45am August 12, 2012):

Ugly duckling

Re: Wrong Bed, Right Guy (10:27am August 11, 2012):

Katee, it would be impossible for this not to be a great book to read, judging by your enthusiasm for writing it. I hope to read it soon.

Re: Hell On Wheels (12:02pm August 10, 2012):

This sounds like a great series with interesting characters. Can't wait to read it.

Re: Hearts Of Darkness (11:24am August 9, 2012):

I keep everything I write. I like to see the evolution of things.

Re: A Brew To A Kill (9:47am August 7, 2012):

I'll definitely give those Strawberry Shortcake Muffins a try!

Re: Going To The Bad (1:34pm August 5, 2012):

I agree with Vicki that it can sometimes ruin a series, if the wrong character is killed off. I think it also depends on whether a new character is introduced straight away to replace them and how well they are received.

Re: The Last Victim (1:25pm August 5, 2012):

For every reviewer who doesn't like something about your books there will thousands of everyday readers who like that very thing. Go with your own gut, I say.
