Southern Sweet Potatoes with Brown Sugar and Marshmallows

This is an easy recipe that takes only about 5 minutes to assemble and twenty to bake. It was something my granny always made and I think of her every time I eat it.

Ingredients:
2 large cans of sweet potatoes
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups walnuts, chopped or whole (optional)
One bag mini marshmallows

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drain sweet potatoes and place in large casserole dish. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork until they are spread uniformly throughout the pan and are no longer lumpy. Cover with the brown sugar, walnuts (optional), and top with mini marshmallows. Bake for twenty minutes. Read a good book while it cooks. Enjoy!
