James Claussen has played Santa for years, but now that
he's
a widower, he's lost interest—in everything. So his
daughter, Brooke, kidnaps him from the mall (in his Santa
suit!) and takes him to Icicle Falls. She's arranged a
special Christmas at the lodge owned by long-widowed Olivia
Wallace and her son, Eric. And yet-Brooke wants Dad to be
happy, but she's not ready to see someone else's mommy
kissing Santa Claus.
Single mom Missy Monroe brings her kids to the lodge, too.
Lalla wants a grandma for Christmas, and her brother,
Carlos, wants a dog. Missy can't provide either one. What
she'd like is an attractive, dependable man. A man like
John Truman But John's girlfriend will be joining him
in
Icicle Falls, and he's going to propose.
Of course not everything goes as planned. But sometimes the
best gifts are the ones you don't expect!
Happy Thanksgiving and Congratulations - not only on your latest book, but on your life accomplishments as well!!! I know too well both sides of the coin when it comes to Christmas. It's my favorite Holiday, and I love to decorate to the hilt, as well as overdo when it comes to baking for friends and family, as well as get into the Christmas spirit. I have had many years now, since my Husband and I have moved away from the Family, where we have been unable to celebrate with them, so I started to celebrate with a new Family - my Landlord and his Family, as well as Friends that we've made since moving away. It's worked out pretty well, even if not the same. This year will be bittersweet, because my Father passed away not that long ago, as well as my favorite Aunt, and a few other relatives and friends. They all hit me hard this year, and seemed to pass on within a short time of each other. I probably will just be going through the motions, and acting as if I'm enjoying the season, while I'm grieving inside. I would much rather curl up with your book, a cup of hot cocoa, and one of my cats!! The cover of your book is absolutely, insanely beautiful, and I will make it a point to put your book on my TBR list. Even though I'm having a hard time keeping my thoughts together, since suffering so many hardships this year, I am desperately trying to get into the reading mode, to take me away from all of my troubles, and put me in a much better frame of mind. I wish you and yours a very Merry, and Blessed Christmas as well!!! (Peggy Roberson 12:19pm November 21, 2014)
Best to you in your recovery. (Leona Olson 9:38am November 25, 2014)

The story sounds interesting, and I love characters. I am always looking for new authors to read. (Donna Whitmire 5:36pm December 27, 2014)
