Romance Historical

An honest love...

Radley Lyncott has been in love with Wendy Drew as long as he can remember. When he went to sea, she was too young to court. Now that he's returned to take up his Welsh title, he is appalled to find that debt has ruined the Drew family, and—even worse—Wendy is being courted by another man.

Or a dangerous attraction?

Family comes first for seamstress Wendy Drew, who is forced to settle her brother's debt by working nights at a notorious gambling den. But her double-life hasn't gone unnoticed—she has captivated none other than Demon Damon, a nefarious rake who understands Wendy's darkest desires and is hell bent on luring her into his arms.

Ummm...kinda drawing a blank here. Maybe side by side? Against the
wall? I don't know!!! ;)
(
Sheryl Nyary 3:19pm February 6, 2014)

The teenage sex scenes of sex in a car or on it.
(
Susan Clickner 3:28pm February 6, 2014)

How bout up against the wall, fall in floor exhausted. I've read a few in carriage or riding a horse sex. That raw, hard, last forever kind.
(
Debbie McCreary 3:33pm February 6, 2014)

Looking forward to reading one of your books.
(
Sharon Rabner 6:48pm February 6, 2014)

Maybe... sitting in his lap facing away from him.
(
Samatha Hodges 6:50pm February 6, 2014)

I love your posts! Wonderful man chests!!!! But your books are good too! LOL
(
Linda Bolton 7:35pm February 6, 2014)

The quickie in the linen closet at a party or the wall or
against the door is always a good one!
(
Lisa Ringsby 10:41pm February 6, 2014)

In a public place, like a private theater box.
(
Elizabeth Robertson 10:52pm February 6, 2014)

Great, fun post! Side-by-side does seem to be a variation, since neither party would be dominant.
(
Janie McGaugh 11:16pm February 6, 2014)

Very funny everyone! (I especially love 68!) Keep 'em coming!
(
Jade Lee 11:24pm February 6, 2014)

LOLOL I got nothing new. But loved your post. Bahhaha
(
Lisa Hutson 12:37pm February 7, 2014)

LOL Laughing too hard to think of any that haven't been mentioned. . . .
Maybe if I sleep on it..... ;-)

Glenda Martillotti 1:18am February 7, 2014)

Constantly changing- -Rolling across the bed or floor where the shaft power shifts- control of the relationship goes back and forth

A spanking pose -dominatrix power hero or heroine could be the powerful controller
(
Laurie Gommermann 6:20am February 7, 2014)

The girl bound with the man pleasuring her. ;-)
(
Karin Anderson 6:58am February 7, 2014)

In the garden folly or summer house during a house party.
(
Ann Gonzalez 6:59am February 7, 2014)

When she goes down on her knees to pleasure him because she has heard servants talk or a friend tell her. Or, she gasp and wants to refuse to let him pleasure her with his mouth.
(
Ann Gonzalez 7:01am February 7, 2014)

I liked in "What a Bride Wore" when she "turned around, arching slowly bent over. She bared her bottom to him-". That is not a usual position in a Historical Romance unless he turns her around and bends her over.
(
Ann Gonzalez 7:09am February 7, 2014)

Keep up the sexy men pictures on Facebook. I share with my sister although she follows your page too. My 16 year tells us how gross we are...lol!
(
Ann Gonzalez 7:33am February 7, 2014)

I love historical romances and especially yours Jade. I have several of your books and have re-read them often!!
(
Bonnie Capuano 7:45am February 7, 2014)

What a gorgeous cover! I love the scenes you describe. LOL!
Now that I'm older, the scenes I think of, I poo poo because
they're not safe or I don't want to encourage someone to do
something they could get in trouble for if caught. I'm not
much fun in that dept except for in my imagination.
(
Linda Townsend 8:24am February 7, 2014)

Can't really add much but reading the comments on this post was fun!
(
Pam Howell 9:05am February 7, 2014)

Lol!!! Well, I would say that my fave is the one that people
whisper in each others' ears and their friend gasps and says
"Is that even possible??!!" Whatever THAT pose is, that's
what I want;)
(
Cindi Clubbs 12:35pm February 7, 2014)

The only one I can come up with is long distance. You can use your imagination here by what I mean. :-) Have a very Happy Valentine's Day!! I love the cover, and can't wait to read your book!!
(
Peggy Roberson 1:15pm February 7, 2014)

I love your books, Jade! How about in a stopped elevator, up against the elevator walls and floor?
(
Cathy Phillips 2:14pm February 7, 2014)

Lol... reading this post and comments made me laugh! Thanks for sharing!
(
Colleen Conklin 3:38pm February 7, 2014)

The photos and the comments are hilarious. Thanks for the great laugh.
(
Janet Gould 6:30pm February 7, 2014)

(
Denise Smith 12:06pm February 8, 2014)

I love the pictures. I kind of chuckle at them.
(
Kai Wong 2:35am February 8, 2014)

(

release!
(
Vicki Hancock 8:42am February 8, 2014)

Guy sitting, girl with back to him in control. She can set pace! ;)
(
Sue Galuska 11:00am February 8, 2014)

The cover scene is excellent! It really makes me want to read it!
(
Teresa Stebbins 11:23am February 8, 2014)

I think maybe side by side or, the always awkward, ménage is the only thing you missed. I love the illustrations with the Squidges. They're both adorable and dirty.
(
Jamie Fortney 1:50pm February 8, 2014)

Love the cover and your books. Thanks for a chance to win.
(
Linda Hall 3:03pm February 8, 2014)

Hmmm, let me see. Side by side and sitting on him seems to have possibilities. Rolling
around with no one in particular being in charge seems different too. With only two
people there's not too many possibilities of someone not being in charge, lol. Thanks
for the giveaway and it's great to have a chance to win your latest book ;-)
(
Lenna Hendershott 3:14pm February 8, 2014)

Hi Jade!
Loved everyone's idea but how about him dragging her into the cook's pantry and sitting her onto a shelf while he drives her by kissing her - everywhere?
(
Jeanne Miro 3:53pm February 8, 2014)

For ideas on more sex moves, keep an eye those squid gets. They must
have rabbit genes!!

Mile high club?
(
Denise Austin 6:16pm February 8, 2014)

That was so funny. I read a cowboy story a while ago. I had
to feel for the horse. (No not THAT!!) Just the "gymnastics"
atop.
(
Mary Preston 9:10pm February 8, 2014)

whats up
(
Aaron Polish 7:22am February 9, 2014)

I remember once when my husband was on his way out the door to go to work, we both got abruptly hot and bothered. Up against the closet door did just fine, but it wasn't long enough! And at the same time, I found I worried about the windows in the front door, yes they were up high, but someone might have seen his head bobbing. The time, man has always taken his time, didn't know he could do a quicky! And the wood floor, I was in socks and kept slipping. Thankfully he had a good grip on me. Oddly, you never read these issues in a book. Yet my mind was consumed with them. ;-)
(
Marcia Berbeza 10:45am February 9, 2014)

Just a mix of all three.
(
Jo Jones 4:37pm February 10, 2014)

i have been wanting to read this for a while the book sounds
really good thanks for the giveaway
(
Denise Smith 6:41am February 13, 2014)

I'm guessing B... but any of the options could make for an
awesome story! Love your cover!
(
Linda Townsend 7:34am February 13, 2014)

Jade, I love all your books and can't wait to read this one too!!!!
(
Bonnie Capuano 8:50am February 13, 2014)

can't wait to read What the Groom Wants because I loved the others in the series.
(
Doris Losey 8:56am February 13, 2014)

Love your books, and loved today's blog where you share some of YOUR surprise moments in your books. What fun. Thanks for the chance to win. Best of luck with this and all you do.
(
Nancy Reynolds 9:32am February 13, 2014)

Okay...here's the answer! Answer: D. All the choices are
good scenes, but option A is a necessary one between Wendy
and Radley. It’s all part of the love story, so it doesn’t
qualify. B is great, but I’d planned for it. Spent some
gleeful moments blocking it out. C. Was a surprise because
it ended up being so creepy. Yes, I needed the threat so
again, it was a planned scene, but the creepy was really
inspired. ::shudder:: So that leaves us D which was touching
and surprising especially because I hadn’t planned for any
part of that scene.
(
Jade Lee 9:38am February 13, 2014)

Yes! I hadn't read the comments but I was about to put D.
;-)
(
Karin Anderson 9:44am February 13, 2014)

Glad it was D. That was what I was going to pick before reading the comments.
(
Pam Howell 10:27am February 13, 2014)

I was also going for D. Sounds like a great story!
(
Kelly Powell 10:27am February 13, 2014)

I think option B :)
(
Dianne McVetty 11:00am February 13, 2014)

Well, Jade, now that you gave the answer, I suppose all I have to do is give a comment now!! lol I always adore when you come here and make a posting, and I know I'll adore your latest book!! The cover is to die for!! Thank you for stopping by and giving a little heads' up on your latest book!! I know it's already on its' way to being a big hit!!
(
Peggy Roberson 11:14am February 13, 2014)

Can't wait to read!
(
Angela Daffern 11:27am February 13, 2014)

Read the Groom's Gamble and What the Groom Wants last week and
loved them. Shared my books with our library's romance book
group. I read the third one in the series too; now I need to
go back and read the first two.
(
Julie Stam 12:12pm February 13, 2014)

I'm guessing C.
(
Sue Galuska 12:20pm February 13, 2014)

I was going to choose either B or D, and was really leaning more towards D, when you gave it away!

Later,

Lynn
(
Lynn Rettig 2:33pm February 13, 2014)

My guess would have been B...
(
Colleen Conklin 2:40pm February 13, 2014)

rats, missed my chance to guess~~but D sounds interesting
even though I was leaning towards C
(
Michelle Omalley 3:18pm February 13, 2014)

It's a good thing you explained it. I was going to guess option B.
(
Anna Speed 6:00pm February 13, 2014)

Interesting story line; great giveaway:)
(
Barbara Studer 8:13pm February 13, 2014)

I was going to guess D, but got here too late to make that comment. Jade, I love your books! The covers are gorgeous.
(
Cathy Phillips 8:14pm February 13, 2014)

I think D sounds interesting.
(
Denise Austin 8:18pm February 13, 2014)

Wow, Congrats on your new book:WHAT THE GROOM WANTS. I love
the book cover too! I would love to win and read your new
book in 2014. Thanks for the great contest!
Answer: D. Wendy with Irene's father-in-law as he talks to
her about respecting herself as a woman of value. It was a
total surprise moment because I hadn't planned on this
character showing up at all. Thank You very much. Cecilia
CECE
(
Cecilia Dunbar Hernandez 8:27pm February 13, 2014)

I'm guessing D.
(
Janie McGaugh 8:30pm February 13, 2014)

I'm going with D because it sounds like one of your surprise
moments. Thanks for the fun and giveaway!
(
Lenna Hendershott 8:33pm February 13, 2014)

my guess is D Thanks for the giveaway
(
Jean Benedict 8:55pm February 13, 2014)

love the series

b
(
Denise Holcomb 9:42pm February 13, 2014)

Would love to win this book
(
Tina Lechuga 11:03pm February 13, 2014)

I was hoping it was B because that sounds like family fun. LOL But D works, too.
(
Marcy Shuler 11:08pm February 13, 2014)

I'm guessing D because as much as I like B, B is so very
predictable. :-)
(
Glenda Martillotti 11:20pm February 13, 2014)

Georgette Heyer! It surprises me that there are any women who haven't read her books. I was always amazed that her husband thought she was wasting her time and talent writing those Regency novels when she was a historian and should have been writing "serious" books. And yet 40 years after I first discovered them, they are still as fresh as ever and they are being discovered by a whole new generation. Keep writing your delicious romances and you will continue to have an audience! Now honestly, all of them sound plausible, but I think B because you have that special inside knowledge about the way siblings torture each other. Why? Because they can.
(
Marcia Berbeza 11:49pm February 13, 2014)

I love your bizarre moment in each of these three books. They made the stories more interesting to read. I always love that twist of humor in the story. Thanks for the book description and the fun quiz.
(
Kai Wong 12:00pm February 14, 2014)

I think B is the one, but all could work. Love your books!
(
Sharon Extine 3:08pm February 14, 2014)

I think B is the one.
(
Carol Woodruff 7:59pm February 14, 2014)

C - got my imagination fired up.
(
Mary Preston 8:48pm February 15, 2014)

gosh I feel like a HUGE idiot & I am sincerely sorry for the
previous LONG post (PLEASE delete it) I did not realize
there was more than one winner! You are awesome! I went back
to the "Winner's List" & Lo-and-BEHOLD there was my name
further up the list than the other name... I cannot seem to
delete/edit my posts, so PLEASE ignore the above & DELETE it
if you would as I found my name on the winner's list for
"What the Groom Wants" afterall!! Thank You & my apologies
again for being a pathetic FANatic.
(
Michelle Omalley 11:17am February 16, 2014)

Please have Gregory get his comeuppance and work on redeeming
himself. The grovelling has got to be out of character, yet
authentic. No fake stuff here.

(
Alyson Widen 6:04pm February 25, 2014)

Brandi Dagwan 6:44am March 5, 2014)

I really want a squidge!!! Actually, it would be for my 16 year old because she would take him. I am only a few chapters in right now. I have not had time to read lately and it's driving me crazy.

I bet what everyone really wants is Squidge!
(
Winnie Pang 10:40pm March 6, 2014)

Thanks for the laugh tonight. I love the pictures that go with the blog. New thought for the coffee/espresso entry I attended a candle party where a jar of coffee beans were passed around to clear out the smells so you could finish smelling the rest of the candle scents.
(
Laura Gullickson 10:57pm March 6, 2014)

Wow, Congrats on your new book: WHAT THE GROOM WANTS. I love
the pretty book cover too! Your blog and trivia are great and
I love the funny pics especially Data with Sherlock Holmes
pipe in his mouth! LOL. I would love to win your books and
the Squidge is cute too. Thank You very much. Cecilia CECE

Dear Jade,
It has been over two months now since you announced that I
was a WINNER of a copy of the book. Just thought you should
know that I STILL have not received the Book to read! Thanks
again for this awesome giveaway, but I'd really like to
receive my "prize" SOON!
Best Regards, Michelle O
(
Michelle Omalley 2:50pm May 2, 2014)

Jade...I truly look forward to reading this "just for me" book of yours. I have several of your books already and love each of them. Have fun with this next book.
(
Bonnie Capuano 9:20am May 5, 2014)

Perhaps you might be writing a bit of time-traveling book this
time where your characters go from Historical times, into
space, to meet your Capt. Tightpants. Perhaps they'll even
have sex!! oh my!! Any way you look at it, since you wrote
the book, I'm sure it will be one worth reading!!
(
Peggy Roberson 9:49am May 5, 2014)

All Of The Above ALWAYS works - LOL - always the adventure, Jade!
(
Felicia Ciaudelli 9:58am May 5, 2014)

"um, well it's this through-the-closet-door to another
reality which may or may not be a delusion that has frog
people who are not the hero, but a ripped Capt. Tightpants
who is really too pretty to die."

*raises hand* Uhm, can I pretty please beta read that? ;)
lol Sounds too pretty not to find a niche publisher willing
to please the niche readers like myself.

Definitely sounds like an "all of the above" type of
situation though.
(
Rhianna Walker 11:42am May 5, 2014)

You gals make me smile all over!!! :)
(
Jade Lee 11:56am May 5, 2014)

Green Frog-people... now Mr Tightpant's, him I can understand.
A book just for yourself that would be interesting to read.
Anecdotes from a Writers Mind. We'll just have to wait until
it is done... Keep us posted on the book
(
Tina Ullrich 12:52pm May 5, 2014)

Your posts always make me smile!
(
Colleen Conklin 1:04pm May 5, 2014)

this is where it should be all of the above but if I were a writer and someone asked me what I was working on I would tell them well you wouldn't believe me if I told you but I am working on more than 1 book and right now I'm thinking of life and how it works into my writing. You're so funny Jade as some of the things you talked about were so honest and I love that. Conferences would be the best for me as I could talk to others that do the same as me and then have a glass of wine or two and three later with the same ones most of them are so nice .
(
Peggy Clayton 1:26pm May 5, 2014)

Happy Birthday!

I would have to say All of the above! I love your adventures
and sure hope you share this latest story with us.
(
Sharla Long 2:34pm May 5, 2014)

I agree with everyone else.... All of The Above!!! I think
it's great that you are going to just 'free write' (write
whatever comes to mind). It's a good way to rejuvenate. I
am always amazed at authors like you, who have written books
for decades, and yet can still put out an outstanding read
time after time.
(
QuenKne M 3:29pm May 5, 2014)

Who cares if Mr Tightpants is n it? Lol
(
Michelle Schafer 4:25pm May 5, 2014)

Sorry, Captain Tightpants. Headache is doing me in today:(
(
Michelle Schafer 4:26pm May 5, 2014)

I WOULD HAVE TO SAY ALL OF THE ABOVE!! I LOVE
ADVENTURES. I LOVE YOUR BOOKS THEY ARE
MARVELOUS!! KEEP WRITING THOSE FANTASTIC
STORIES!!!!!
(
Shelly Caggiano 5:06pm May 5, 2014)

Well now I know why your books are good. You love all the same things I do. Your
inspirations are my daydreams so of course you write what I like. And with all your
snark and humor it makes life fun and that's what we want, isn't it? Happy writing
vacation and I look forward to your next installment :-)
(
Lenna Hendershott 8:59pm May 5, 2014)

This is what I love about your writing - the unexpected, the
fun, the sex. AND All of the above!!!! I love that you are
writing just for yourself - don't you think we'll love it
too? I know I want to read it just hearing about the
oversexed frog people and Captain Tightpants! Keep on!
(
Gerri Lauzon 9:42pm May 5, 2014)

Well. It sounds interesting. You could tell people it's top secret, hush hush,
if I tell you the frog people may kill you. :D
(
Penny Mettert 10:35pm May 5, 2014)

I love your books because you always surprise me. I can never wait to see what you are going to do next.
(
Cindy Olp 12:04pm May 6, 2014)

This post sure made me chuckle. Great pics in it.
(
Laura Gullickson 12:34pm May 6, 2014)

I love that you giggle when you write a book, I love a book
that make me laugh out loud when I read it, then I have to
read the funny part to someone else so they can laugh at it
too.
(
Jen Barnard 2:53am May 6, 2014)

Capt'n Tightpants and trusty sidekick Lusty Frog - who could go wrong with
this duo.....
(
Chris Coulson 3:43am May 6, 2014)

If you can't have fun with writing, why bother? The answer was
obviously 'all of the above' plus extra man candy! Thanks for
the early morning laugh! :-)
(
Glenda Martillotti 8:37am May 6, 2014)

I think anything with Nathan Fillion would be the correct answer, no matter the question! ;)
(
Sue Galuska 9:16am May 6, 2014)

i would love Jason Ackles make me do anything he wants lol i
love man candy also i love your post very funny
(
Denise Smith 9:41am May 6, 2014)

Your books are intriguing and unique. All of the above and
Patrick Stewart.
(
Sharon Berger 10:30am May 6, 2014)

Writing just for fun has its good points and bad points. Writing for fun
and for yourself is great because you can truly be yourself, laugh, have
fun with it and explore new angles. On the other hand, not having a
deadline would be extremely hard to deal with after always having one
for so long. I feel that this blog post holds all the answers. It was
obviously fun to write and it gives your fans a deadline for entry.
(
Rachel Collings 10:36am May 6, 2014)

I would love to write just for fun, wish I could!
(
Richard Proctor 11:22am May 6, 2014)

I can't write something if I HAVE to! But when I write for
fun, I have to be in my special zone. It does help that I
love to write, so either way it does make things a little
easier!
(
Maria Proctor 11:40am May 6, 2014)

all of the above
(
Denise Holcomb 1:13pm May 6, 2014)

I would guess that this project might have a point--like a new
genre, perhaps?
(
Janet Martin 2:09pm May 6, 2014)

Happy Belated Birthday!
Thanks for the giveaway
(
Alisa Jenkins 3:14pm May 6, 2014)

Totally has to be All of the Above....
(
Elaine Seymour 3:16pm May 6, 2014)

All of the above and I love the dress on the cover!
(
Denise Austin 5:12pm May 6, 2014)

Are you going to release a new genre soon. Not sur about frog people.
(
Carol Woodruff 7:27pm May 6, 2014)

The horrible thing about writing . The opening line. "call me
Ishmael." :-)
(
Deb Pelletier 7:51pm May 6, 2014)

Am looking forward to reading this , just added it to my TBR
list.
(
Sandy Haber 8:03pm May 6, 2014)

since I read 'just for fun' I imagine I would enjoy reading a
book that was written 'just for fun'!
(
Diane Sallans 10:07pm May 6, 2014)

Denise Holcomb 11:40pm October 23, 2014)

I love hearing how a husband is eyeing his wife and not someone else! :)
(
Jennifer Tipton 2:58pm October 28, 2014)

A seamstress is an awesome idea for a costume!
(
Cheri Oggy 12:26pm October 29, 2014)

Interesting how some people ignore the costume and assume that you are
what you wear.
(
Lynn Reynolds 9:13pm October 31, 2014)

Oh my! I missed the party! So sorry! It sounded like fun!
