Re: Mr. Perfect (5:21pm July 13, 2009):

I would have to say the Twilight series. I haven't read them yet, but my Mother has and well she couldn't stop reading the series (she said she was going to wait for pb for the last two, well needless to say she got so hooked on the series she bought the last two in hb because she couldn't wait for pb.)

Re: The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society (9:37pm July 8, 2009):

For me there were two authors I couldn't get into no matter how hard I tried. Those were Jane Green and Sue Grafton. I don't know why I didn't like them, I just didn't.

Re: A Thread Of Truth (7:27pm June 22, 2009):

Sandi, for me typos, spelling, and grammar are the last thing on my mind. I just focus on the story. If there is a mistake I probably wouldn't notice because I would be too busy to read to notice.

Re: Undead And Unwelcome (2:20pm June 14, 2009):

For me it would be Danielle Steel, Nora Roberts, Mary Higgins Clark(her I would ask what does it feel like to write with your daughter Carol), Debbie Macomber, Janet Evanovich, Catherine Coulter, Jayne Ann Krentz, Sandra Brown, Robert B. Parker(I would ask if he is ever going to write a book that has all 3 of his detectives together to solve one mystery), Linda Howard, James Patterson, Luanne Rice. Sorry for the long list I just have so many I would like to meet. Where I live we don't get that lucky. I either have to ask my Father to help me get one, try to get it thru the mail like I do for Janet Evanovich and David Baldacci, or just get lucky and find one that is going to be someplace close to you like I got on June 25th when I'm going to meet Lisa Gardner. I have also by dumb luck met Elizabeth Berg one time. She was nice to everybody who came out to see her.

Re: The Red Pony (12:47pm June 11, 2009):

When I was in school I never was forced to do book reports due to the fact I was in special education(slow learner) so if I had to do any reading it was for pleasure.

Re: The Warrior (10:19pm May 24, 2009):

I'm not really an implusive buyer. The last purchase I made that was an impluse was the Katy Perry CD this past Friday night. Otherwise I usually plan out what I'm going to getting(usually I have a coupon for a hardcover, on sale (50% off), or just came out in pb.).

Re: Pretty in Plaid (1:09pm May 17, 2009):

I meant Elizabeth Berg

Re: Pretty in Plaid (1:08pm May 17, 2009):

Sandi, I went to a book signing for Elizabeth a couple of years or so and I found myself to be an early bird- only about 15-30 early. The reason was I wanted to get a good seat. She first talked about her writing and her latest book which at that time was Dream When You're Feeling Blue. Then she signed books that we had with us. Also there were books of her there for sale which I picked up 2 or 3 that I hadn't read yet. I also that night got put on her mailing list too. Mine took place at a middle school. Ok well that was my one and only time so far book signing I have been too. I have had my Father go to a book signing for Jodi Picoult because she was down in his area I think last year and my Father bought me some of Jodi's books that I want and I also got them signed and a picture of her which I have put away for safe keeping. Ok I'm done now

Re: Comfort Food (9:54am May 4, 2009):

Sandi,
Right now I'm reading one book and I do know what I'm reading next usually. The thing that would derail this is if a book from the library comes in. Otherwise nothing derail the book I'm reading. I'm reading Mother's Day Murder by Leslie Meier. The next one is going to be Pursuit by Karen Robards.

Re: Behind The Shadows (10:26am April 27, 2009):

Sandi,
No I don't use retail therapy. Whenever I feel down I usually have a book nearby so I just pick it up and let it take me away from my sad mood.

Re: The Promise (8:15pm April 19, 2009):

For me I was from my Mother who read to me when I was little and she herself was a reader. Then from there I just fell in love with reading. They even know me by name and voice at my Barnes And Nobles. I will almost try any author once(except Sci-Fi and Western, not the romance that have a western theme in it Those I will try and read, I'm talking straight up westerns) I will also read anyway/anyplace. My favorite place is the couch and my Mother's car when she driving. My Mother still reads too so she knows when I'm reading I would like to have the radio off so I can read. I also have been known to bring a book into a movie theater and read while I'm waiting for the movie to start. I also have been known to read while in a restuarant while I'm waiting for my food to come. So now you know.

Re: The Accidental Human (10:09pm April 13, 2009):

Sandi,
With me it don't matter what the covder looks like, I based what I read on the author name, like it's a well known author I have heard about in my Yahoo reading group then I'm more likelty to check out the book.

Re: The Accidental Human (11:12pm March 29, 2009):

I don't know if this is your cup of tea or not, but I am a fan of Laurell K. Hamilton. She got 2 different series. One is a Vampire Hunter series which her name is Anita Blake and the other has to do has a woman named Merry Gentry who is a princess of the faries I haven't read Merry Gentry yet Hope this helps.

Re: Summer On Blossom Street (4:35am March 9, 2009):

First of all Sandi good question. My answer is like Sari It would be Stephanie Plum life. There are times I would like to knock Stephanie's cousin on his butt, also I would like to meet LuLu Grandma Mazur, or Connie because I think I would get along with them perfectly. In other words be another troublemaker for Joe to go oh boy now what.

Re: The Secret Life of Bees (7:07pm February 8, 2009):

well with me I watch the movies because I want to I never compare them to the books because I just want to read the book and watch the movie. Usually by the time I get to the book I will probably forget with I saw in the movie so reading the book will be fresh for me.

Re: Obama (8:20pm January 18, 2009):

Me it depends on who it is, if it's somebody I'm a fan of I will buy it and read it, if not then I leave it alone and let somebody else have it. Most of the ones I have are pro wrestlers autobiographies because I'm a wrestling fan. Haven't bought any in awhile though.

Re: Smoke Screen (1:00pm January 11, 2009):

Well I am like if it's a series by a new author then I have to read every book in that series before I move on. As for non-series I don't know yet I know with Danielle Steel and other favorite of mine I either have to buy it or get on the hold list at the library. Sandra Brown is one of my favorites too.

Re: Shadow of Turning (9:50pm December 28, 2008):

Thank you for sharing your post I did discover two new authors this year(Joanne Fluke and Leslie Meier) Otherwise that's all I can think of right now. Great subject too. I also enjoy reading your blogs.
