Re: A Lady's Secret Weapon (1:52pm October 20, 2013):
My favorites are full of witty dialogue, snarky heroines and dashing rakes.
Re: Christmas Quilt (1:50pm October 20, 2013):
What a beautiful message, we could all use a bit more Christmas in our lives all year long.
Re: Buried In A Bog (6:56pm March 17, 2013):
I have never been to Ireland, but going is definitely on my bucket list. My maternal grandmother's maternal family was from Ireland and we have story's that have been handed down about them being run out of Ireland for being Catholic. The family is no longer practicing Catholicism, but we still practice our Irish heritage with Colcannon and Corned Beef & Cabbage.
Re: A Howl For A Highlander (5:43pm February 13, 2013):
Set up one of those giant umbrellas on the beach and just take in the beauty of the ocean, all the while protected from the sun!
Sounds like a great book, I will add it to my Must Get List.

"You bring bare back riding to a whole 'nother level."
This looks like a great series. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy and start reading. :)
Re: Doomed (1:38pm January 15, 2013):
I must admit that I am not very familiar with the Greek Pantheon of mythology. Viking and Norse lore was always my favorite subject to dive into. However, as I was a young(er) woman in the 90's when Kevin Sorbo rocked out the Legendary Adventures of Hercules, I have some small, and probably totally wrong, idea. Then Disney took a turn at Hercules and we all know how off base that one was. But it does hold a special place in my heart because Megara totally rocks as a girl power figure for Disney.
Re: Finding Home (6:49pm January 14, 2013):
I have great memories of my working with my grandfather in his workshop. He was a carpenter and boatbuilder, and I can remember being very little and playing in the sawdust while he worked. As I got older, he would let me help when he was building something.
Re: Kiss Of The Betrayer (5:41pm January 12, 2013):
My issues with balance come from my OCD about how I like things done. When something isn't in the right spot or done how I feel that it should be done, I stress out and end up doing every thing myself. I am still working on letting things go. Just because I think something should be done one way, doesn't mean there isn't many others ways to accomplish the task. (Even if I think they are taking it the long way around!)
Re: Birthright (5:34pm January 12, 2013):
I grew up hearing stories about my grandmother's father being one of the children who had gone west from New York on what was known as the Orphan Train. Him and his brother were adopted by neighboring farms in Iowa. Their parents had died on one of the boats coming into Ellis Island and they were too young to know their own heritage.
Additionally, my grandfather's grandfather was of a similar situation coming into the country through New Orleans. Apparently that was also a major entry point into the U.S. for immigrants. I wish we hadn't lost a large part of our heritage with these deaths, but it is very interesting having ancestors be part of these pieces of American History.
Re: The Billionaire's Christmas Baby (4:53pm December 27, 2012):
I am most grateful for our family. We added 2 new members this year, my brother's fiance and her little girl. They are still in shock going from only having long distance relations to hoard of inlaws and nieces and nephews nearby. (6 siblings + spouses + kids multiplies rapidly.) But it wouldn't be the Holidays without the joy of having everyone around.
Best wishes on your Father's continued good health! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Re: Secret Santa Baby (4:47pm December 27, 2012):
I love the idea of using Santa Baby as your gift giving inspirations. A car, the yacht, the penthouse, Tiffany's, the ring! Plus the Friends to Lovers angle. Sounds fantastic. I will add it to my Get List for sure!
Re: Betrayed by Shadows (1:22pm December 17, 2012):
My favorite characters have attitude to spare. They are the ones that speak their mind, use sarcasm & put up with no shit off anyone. I want a female character who will stand up to anyone, and most especially her man. Nothing turns me off a book faster than those simpering females who stand around (or faint) and wait for a man to take care of them. Bring on the woman who carves her own path and goes out and does the saving.
Re: Deadly Patterns (7:55pm December 15, 2012):
My favorite holiday treat is my great grandmother's fruitcake recipe. We make it right after Thanksgiving and then it is wrapped with rum soaked towels changed out every week. I absolutely love it. I have even managed to convert many people into fruitcake fans. Merry Christmas!
Re: Just A Cowboy And His Baby (12:03pm December 14, 2012):
Sounds like a great book. Can't wait to read it. :)
Re: Fortune's Hero (11:46pm December 13, 2012):
Oh, and don't forget actually getting up to change the channel on the tv. I can remember when my grandparents got a new tv that had this incredibly new feature, something called a remote. The remote was big boxy and had 6 buttons: on/off, channel up, channel down, volume up, volume down and mute. It was the coolest thing ever. The tv that I watched Saturday morning cartoons on was in black and white and had 3 dials on it. When you stop and think about it, the changes that have happened in my lifetime just boggle my mind.
The one thing that I would love to see by the year 3012 are the molecular transporters like on startrek. Beam me up Scotty!
Re: Holiday Buzz (5:19pm December 4, 2012):
I have totally fallen in love with this series and can't wait to get my hands on the newest Clare Cosi story. I have learned so much about coffee that when I talk to others they think I am some kind of expert. So THANKS!! *g*
Re: Taming the Outback (3:09pm November 26, 2012):
Sounds right up my alley. I love strong willed women who aren't afraid to go out and make their own destiny.
