Re: Best Man for Hire (3:20pm January 4, 2015):

LOL!

Re: Tall, Dark and Royal (12:59pm November 26, 2014):

That sounds very interesting. I look forward to it.

Re: Hard to Come By (12:57pm November 26, 2014):

I read Justine Davis's books, Left at the Altar and Morning Side of Dawn when they came out in the 90s. I've read them both multiple times.

Re: The MacGregor's Lady (4:05pm February 6, 2014):

I'm not a drinker but my late father liked scotch before he
switched to Vodka. I'm not sure of the reason for the
switch. When are the Source books Victorian books coming
out?

Re: Once a Rake (2:21pm October 30, 2013):

I've been reading regency romances since the beginning of my adult reading. Georgette Heyer was the first romance author I remember reading

Re: The Arrangement (6:15pm August 25, 2013):

I loved the Proposal and I'm eagerly awaiting the Arrangement!

Re: Midnight Exposure (4:24pm October 29, 2012):

Eve Dallas is definitely one of my favorite heroines.

Re: Down for the Count (4:22pm October 29, 2012):

I'll admit that I'm not one for dares.

Re: Shattered Silence (11:51am October 14, 2012):

Sounds wonderful! I think I need to look for book one in the
series.

Re: A Home For Nobody's Princess (1:34pm September 26, 2012):

Sounds good! I'd love to read it.

Re: A Place Beyond Courage (6:55pm September 7, 2012):

I'm looking forward to this book, Elizabeth. My father liked also liked your books.

Re: It Begins with a Kiss (11:27pm July 4, 2012):

I'll be reading it soon!

Re: Scrumptious (2:58pm January 16, 2012):

Sounds like a good book. My major was in Biology and I wound up working in a Charity for 25 years. Go Figure.

Re: Dark Angel, The Chosen, Soulmate (2:40pm December 26, 2010):

I'm glad you're enjoying your new Nook! I'm not much for vampire type books but have you tried Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series? Start with Moon Called. It's a very good Urban Fantasy series.

Re: Gemini Night (6:06pm November 27, 2010):

Very interesting column. Thanks!

Re: The Spurned Viscountess (12:20pm September 30, 2010):

I haven't read much gothic books. However, I'm willing to give your book a try!

Re: One Touch of Scandal (3:05pm September 26, 2010):

At the moment, my goodie list involves books (of course!) and clothes shopping as I've managed to drop 35 pounds in 18 months. (g)

Re: Nemesis (3:03pm August 21, 2010):

It's been hot here too but
thank goodness it's only been
100 or over once! 90 degrees
are common, 100 or up quite
rare. It's been hot and humid
but we haven't had enough rain
this summer. However, we wound
up with a tornado in the Bronx
a few weeks back!

Re: Death by Diamonds (2:05pm August 17, 2010):

I've been reading C. Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series from the first book but I've never gotten into the TrueBlood series. The only vampire series that I ever got into was "Forever Knight" in the last season.

Re: The Star Necklace (2:01pm August 17, 2010):

I've never really minded changing in a women's locker room. I figure that I don't have anything they haven't seen before. Also, since I had a male Gynocologist up though 2006, being examined by a doctor doesn't really bother me.

Nudity in mixed company other than doctors is a whole other story though!

Re: Smooth Talking Stranger (4:27pm June 20, 2010):

My brother and I took our Father out to dinner last night and I'm cooking dinner for him tonight. I'm very glad to still have him as we had a very major scare almost two years ago.

Re: Fantasy in Death (1:08pm February 15, 2010):

I've been reading this series from book 1 and I'm eagerly waiting for book 30! I've hooked both my brother and my father onto it as well.

Re: Down By The River (1:27am January 24, 2010):

I've been reading the In Death series by J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts) from book 1. This is one of the few long series that I've read eagerly as each book comes out. I even buy them for my ereader these days. One of the other series that I'm waiting eagerly for is a new Miles Vorkosigan book by Lois McMaster Bujold.

I read books in order and I'm not a fan of multi author series (continuity series especially). I generally read books as they come out unless I'm new to the series and I get hooked. I'll read the whole series in order and in one gulp then.

Re: Mennonite Community Cookbook (2:55pm December 19, 2009):

I've made the latkes for our holiday. I think I may make another batch tonight. I'll admit I make them the way my mom made them - from a box!

Re: Captive of Sin (9:22pm November 24, 2009):

I'm looking forward to reading it, Anna.

Re: Kindred In Death (9:50pm November 8, 2009):

J. D. Robb's In Death Series is one of the very few long series that I still read if I can the second it's released. I bought the ebook and downloaded it immediately! Usually I peter out of long series by book 8 or so but this one has held my interest for many years. In fact, I got my brother and father! hooked on it as well.

Re: The Perfect Couple (1:50pm August 9, 2009):

I have quite a few favorites that have seemed to disappear for years at a time but then finally reappear but I can't think of any at this moment! I reread favorites often

Re: Hot Pursuit (9:09pm August 2, 2009):

My library has slowed down in ordering guaranteed bestsellers and getting fewer copies. I've already gotten my library copy of Black Hills. I've started buying more ebook copies of the bestseller hardcovers since my ebook store (fictionwise.com) now offers them for $9.99 or less in competition with Amazon.

Re: Storm Glass (11:06am May 24, 2009):

I still remember my first email with an author. I enjoyed your Study series and bought the last two as ebooks.

Re: Dead And Gone (5:57pm May 9, 2009):

I didn't get past episode 3 of True Blood so hopefully, I won't be too messed up when I read Dead and Gone. I never seem to connect with favorite series that have gone to TV.

Re: Paradise Valley (2:17pm April 11, 2009):

New books I've read in the last few weeks:

The Secret Wedding by Jo Beverley

Someone Like Her (HSR #1558) by Janice Kay Johnson

Out of Time by Pauline Baird Jones

Claimed by the Secret Agent by Lyn Stone (Sil. Rom. Suspense)

Promises in Death by J.D. Robb

Horizon (Sharing Knife #4) by Lois McMaster Bujold)

First Comes Marriage by Mary Balogh

Movies? I went to see Monsters vs Aliens on April 9th. I'm planning to see Xmen Origins: Wolverine and the new Star Trek movie when they come out.

Re: Scandal (2:10pm March 8, 2009):

I love historical romances - both regency and medieval. It takes me away from the every day reality. I love the historicals with real history in it - ex. Roberta Gellis' Roselynde Chronicles.

Favorites? Chase's Lord of Scoundrels, Some of Mary Balogh's, Jo Beverley's Company of Rogues, Mary Jo Putney's other Rogues series.
