Re: Cupid?s Shaft (9:35pm January 25, 2013):
Am always glad to 'meet' a new author - thank you for your introduction- would love to win the GC but will be picking up your books anyway! Happy New Year,
Re: The Earl's Mistaken Bride (6:27pm November 30, 2011):
I've not been blest to read anything of yours yet- but Mistaken Bride looks delicious- look forward to reading it - it looks like fun and Constance is my kind of gal! blessings, Maribeth
Re: Romancing The Countess (5:42pm October 28, 2011):
All of Eloisa James' novels prompted me to get to know her thru emails etc- and I followed her nearly daily posts about her year in Paris. I'd lived in Paris 30 years ago and reading her posts inspired me to waste hours and hours on Google maps revisiting all my old haunts- loving seeing the ones that are the same, grieving over the ones that have changed... The other thing that romances that are parts of series do force me to do is get all the rest of them to read. In fact after my frustration at not always being able to remember from book to book, I started a spread sheet where I catalogue every book I read, the setting, main characters etc so I can remind myself where we were when my favourite authors get around to publishing the next book(s) in their series! I've not read anything of yours yet but reading the blurb on your latest am out to get started 8^) happy weekend, Maribeth Curry
Re: Icecapade (12:02pm December 14, 2010):
Yeah, the only thing better than a romance novel is a romance novel with a murder mystery- or attempted murder will do! Your book looks awesome- hope I win, if not will check it out. Merry Christmas!
Re: Second Chances (6:09pm November 30, 2010):
I think the best second chances are when married couples who have drifted apart find their way back to love again, Maribeth Curry
Re: Outrageously Yours (6:04pm November 30, 2010):
I've loved your other books- would love to win this time! Happy Christmas Maribeth
Re: The Lies We Told (8:44pm June 18, 2010):
I don't usually bother with trailers but hey - for a contest to win a book by an author I've not read yet? Yeah...
Then to find the subject matter- have a similar situation in my family- that the things written in granite for the world to see have nothing to do with what's written in reality in the sand... I watched several times- didn't find the pic of you gripping your thighs unless you mean on the cover photo but that's ok- Will do my best to read this even if I don't win... bless you Maribeth
Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (9:53pm October 24, 2009):
I have a good friend who is literally a starving artist- thankfully his wife works but it causes tension sometimes when his income is slow to come in. In today's economy, hunger is once again becoming reality- especially for the 1/50 children who are literally homeless. As winter approaches I think of them and wonder how they'll make it through the cold- I feel so sorry for their parents. One year we lived on the LEFTOVERS after the soup kitchen truck fed the homeless- it was awful- but at least we had something to feed the kids- thankfully those days are long gone for us now- but yet, how many of us live one or two pay checks from disaster? At least reading is a cheap escape! Thanx for writing!
Re: Finger Lickin' Fifteen (9:21pm October 24, 2009):
I don't need a whole lot of detail but it MUST be accurate. For example, in the first few pages, Dan Brown says you can see I think it's the Eiffel Tower from a spot from where I know you cannot- I've been there- it irritated me and I almost decided not to read it- especially after his little caveat that everything in the book is true! If you're writing about Paris- be accurate- if you're writing about a known city then the facts should be right. If you're not sure, make up a city or village- the story's the thing- not the setting!
Re: A Dark Love (6:53pm September 30, 2009):
Can hardly wait to read your book. I learned a lot about myself writing my first... learning more in all the avoidance techniques I'm using to avoid editing 8~)
Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (3:37pm September 9, 2009):
Without our pets, who would we be? When our dog Shadow passed from cancer the whole family went into deep mourning- we'd had her 15 years. Finally I found a free Belgian Shepherd- with a lovely personality who has made herself at home in our hearts- but she's a bit psycho. She has to back through doorways. Our vet says she has the best hips of any shepherd he's ever seen her age and she's just got psychological problems so ignore the backing up 8~) We wouldn't be as human without our dogs.
Re: Air Time (4:50am August 25, 2009):
