Susan Mallery has managed to create another world of sorts
in her little town of Fools Gold. MARRY ME AT CHRISTMAS,
which is #21 of this amazing series, is another notch on her
belt. I can't believe how taken I am with the characters I
have come to know and love, fashioned by Susan Mallery's
amazingly creative warm-hearted soul. The characters in this
entire series come to life before your very eyes and invite
you into their wondrous world of family, friendship and
community.
The community in Fools Gold simply rocks. Mayor Marsha runs
a tight ship and when the mayor asks a favor everyone and
everything magically falls into place. The fact that Mayor
Marsha knows all adds a little twinkle dust to this already
fantastic town. All that
journey to this town find something or someone that
completes their life. I do not believe in coincidence. And
once you become addicted to the Fools Gold series -- and I
truly believe you can't help it -- you too begin to wonder
what magical spell lives in this small, random town.
MARRY ME AT CHRISTMAS centers around Jonny Blaze -- yes that
Jonny Blaze -- and his entry into Fools Gold. He wound up
there for peace and solitude, a kind of hiding place from
the invasive world of show business. Jonny Blaze is an
action movie star. Sure he enjoys the money and the
life it affords him, but the absence of privacy is a bitter
pill to swallow. Luckily he enjoys a great relationship
with his younger sister, Ginger. And that is how Jonny Blaze
winds up at Paper Moon -- a bridal store -- run by Madeline
Krug.
Jonny can't believe how much he is enjoying the hometown
holiday experience in Fools Gold. He also can't fathom
how attracted he is to the warm wonderful woman who has
been kind enough to plan Ginger's wedding. Madeline is the
real deal. Fools Gold is just what Jonny needs. The fact
that the somewhat eccentric townsfolk have accepted him as
a person -- not a movie star -- has him beginning to think of
this place as a home. After all, where else could you find
holiday parades complete with marching bands, floats and an
elephant dressed up as Santa.
If you are looking for something guaranteed to tickle your
fancy and brighten up your holiday or just any day then
look no further. MARRY ME AT CHRISTMAS is another gem
fashioned by definitely one of the best contemporary
authors Susan Mallery. Mallery's talent is evident on each
of every page and her reference to characters from previous
books in this series conjures up a trip down memory lane. I
have loved this series and candidly
can't wait for more. It's never too late to get to know
this intelligent, gifted author. MARRY ME AT CHRISTMAS is a
great intro into the world of Fools Gold.
Wish upon a Christmas star with New York Times
bestselling
author Susan Mallery's sparkling Fool's Gold romance!
To bridal boutique owner Madeline Krug, organizing a
Christmas wedding sounds like a joy—until she finds out
she'll be working closely with the gorgeous brother of
the
bride, movie star Jonny Blaze. How will a small-town girl
like her keep from falling for the world's sexiest guy?
Especially with mistletoe lurking around every corner!
Jonny came to Fool's Gold looking for normal, not for
love.
Happily-ever-after only happens in the movies. Still,
nothing about this quirky town is quite what he expected,
and "ordinary" Madeline is the most extraordinary woman
he's
ever met. Refreshingly honest, disarmingly sweet.
Achingly
beautiful.
Planning the perfect wedding leads to candlelit dinners
and
strolls through snow-covered streets. And Madeline finds
Jonny in real life even more captivating than her
celebrity
crush. But will the action star be brave enough to risk
his
heart and step into the role of a lifetime?
