Her
town's lack of men may make headlines, but it isn't news to
Dakota Hendrix. The beautiful blonde has bigger problems to
deal with, such as overseeing the romance reality
competition filming in Fool's Gold. Screening eligible
bachelors is a difficult enough task, but Dakota hits an
unexpected snag when a sexy stranger comes to
town.
Finn Andersson will do anything to keep his
twin brothers—the perfect contestants—off the show. Despite
Dakota's better judgment, she finds herself drawn to the
mysterious outsider. Like her, Finn knows about heartbreak
and how a family can fall apart, so she doesn't dare to hope
for anything more than a fling. After all, even in the Land
of Happy Endings, finding true love is never as easy as it
looks on TV.
Unique subplots, very true, the dating show, took something away for me. I'm not into dating shows to begin with, so I think I went in with my mind already made up about that. I loved the relationship Dakota has with her sisters, I found those three to be so enjoyable to read! (Jennifer Hutson 5:02pm July 27, 2011)
I love reality TV and contemporary romance novels, and Susan Mallery does an excellent job putting these two things together. Fans of the Fool's Gold series will be pleased with this visit to their favorite small town. The characters, familiar and new, are engaging. The Andersson brothers are a nice addition, each with his own story. I can't wait for the next visit to Fool's Gold! (Maria Munoz 10:36am July 29, 2011)

Congrats on the new release, Susan. I love it when books in a series are released back to back. (Jane Cheung 2:08am August 9, 2011)
I can honestly say that I've never read your books, but you have whetted my appetite to get started on them!! I loved reading the interview, and not only enjoyed reading your candor, but loved your thought process going into how you thought out your books. Congratulations on your latest book, and I can't wait to read that one as well!! Someone chose a stunning cover for it!! (Peggy Roberson 6:42am August 9, 2011)
I love Fool's Gold! I think Only Mine is my favorite of the series, though I do love all of them. Can't wait for Only Yours!! You have certainly piqued my curiosity with Only His, too. And I've heard COWBOYS are coming next!! Woo Hoo!! (Angela MacIntyre 8:40am August 9, 2011)
Love the Fool's Gold series. Only Mine was a great story with the combination of romance and reality TV. I also liked each brother had his own story. (Maria Munoz 10:00am August 9, 2011)
This has been an amazing series. However, I'm such a fan of Susan's and I've read three quarters of her books.
Fools Gold, what's not to like.,....love, laughter and happy endings? Can it get any better? (Marilyn Shoemaker 10:01am August 9, 2011)
It can stay hot outside all it wants. That just gives me more time to stay in & read more of Susan's books. ;) (Jeanette Blanco 12:36pm August 9, 2011)
Wow, one book after the other. Girl you sure are prolific. I'd have to have a lot of outlines to keep everything straight with three books coming out in 3 months. Humor makes the reading go quickly and is good exercise, too. (Alyson Widen 3:44pm August 9, 2011)
Thank you, Jane! I like that, too. I hate making readers wait too long. :) (Susan Mallery 5:51pm August 9, 2011)
Thank you so much, Peggy, for giving my books a try! You can read free excerpts of the Fool's Gold books at www.foolsgoldca.com/bookstore.html.
And yes, I loooooove the covers of ONLY MINE, ONLY YOURS, and ONLY HIS! Aren't they pretty? Big thumbs up to Harlequin's art department! (Susan Mallery 5:54pm August 9, 2011)
Angela, Thank you! And as cruel as it might make me sound, I hope the curiosity about ONLY YOURS and ONLY HIS has you in knots. ;)
Yes, three handsome cowboy brothers will move to Fool's Gold next year. I'm writing the book for the middle brother now, having so much fun! (Susan Mallery 5:56pm August 9, 2011)
Thank you so much, Maria! I'm thrilled that you're enjoying your visits to Fool's Gold. (Susan Mallery 5:58pm August 9, 2011)
Aw, thank you, Marilyn! You are always so good to me. I appreciate it! (Susan Mallery 5:58pm August 9, 2011)
Jeanette, It is so hot around the country! I'll take a little of that here in Seattle. Well... I'll take the sunshine, but you can keep the heat. (Susan Mallery 5:59pm August 9, 2011)
Oh, Alyson, you are so right. My assistant keeps a massive list of character names, hair colors, relationships, etc. As I write the Fool's Gold books, I keep a thick binder right beside me the whole time, and I refer to it often. I often refer to the city map on the Fool's Gold website so I can keep the locations straight. www.foolsgoldca.com (Susan Mallery 6:02pm August 9, 2011)
Three weeks 'til the next Fool's Gold - how am I going to last that long?!? (Kelly Redwine 9:41pm August 9, 2011)
"It's a town with more men than women..." Huh? I thought it was the other way around! For sure, that's what I remember reading in one of the excerpts to the first book. (The PR woman was hired to publicize Fool's Gold's plight in a good way.)
Am I wrong, or remembering another series by someone else?
Later,
Lynn (Lynn Rettig 3:16pm August 10, 2011)
Love your Fools Gold series, what a town to live in...... (Joanne Bozik 3:51pm August 10, 2011)

Love susan Mallery's books. (Gloria Walshver 9:54pm August 17, 2011)
Only Mine by Susan Mallery is set in the small town of Fool's Gold.
At the moment the town is being overrun by a reality TV show that wants to show how couples can meet in the small town, and potentially fall in love. Will the concept be a smash or go up in flames? Only time will tell.
Two people not thrilled with the prospect of the show are Finn and Dakota. Finn because his brothers have abandoned their college careers for the show, and Dakota because she's been pulled from her job to be an overseer of the show for the town.
Will love find it's way to Fool's Gold, and will it be the love that TV viewers expect or will everyone be in for a surprise. For those answers I suggest you pick up your own copy of Only Mine. (Sandi Shilhanek 2:38pm August 18, 2011)
The second book in this year's Fool's Gold trilogy is ONLY YOURS. I did enjoy your book Finding Perfect. (Laurie Gommermann 7:27am August 21, 2011)
