a little prologue that gives you a beginning for Kate and
possibly a hint for a future storyline. Devil is scary but
hot and Kate is feisty with a hint of vulnerability that is
endearing. Great story!
The Curse of the Black Swan by Alyssa Day introduces the
League of the Black Swan. Brynn Carroll knows she
will
never marry it is the only way to end the curse until sexy
firefighter Sean, with secrets of his own makes her rethink
her plans. This is a sweet romance with just the right
amount of action, magic and I must say it ... heat to keep
the reader reading. Though I thought the ending was a
little preemptive this was all in all the perfect beginning
to a new series.
Salvage by Meljean Brook is the steampunk offering in her
world of the Iron Seas. Thom believes he has not
taken care
of his wife as he should have and in trying almost loses
everything that matters. When she is kidnapped to force him
to dive for gold both of them learn what they will do to
survive and for love. I enjoyed this story very much as the
couple learns more about each other than they had in the
early days of their marriage. The bad guys were really bad
and the world incredible. If you haven't tried steampunk
this will give you a good taste of the genre and probably
hook you in.
Ecstasy Under the Moon by Lucy Monroe takes you back to her
world of the Crechte. This is a story before Dragon Moon
that shows Bryant a Faol, wolf-shifter, who has promised to
protect the Ean, bird shifters and falls for the
traumatized Una. This is a sweetly generous short story
that will give readers a warm feeling of satisfaction.
Bryant believes in what he is doing and feels immediately
the attachment to Una. She feels guilty and torn between
her family and the growing feelings for the wolf-shifter.
This story proves that no matter what happens if love is
there you cannot fail. I enjoy the Crechte books and look
forward to the next full size one.
