In the gentle coastal town of South Cove, California, all
Jill Gardner wants is to keep her store--Coffee, Books, and
More--open and running. So why is she caught up in the
business of murder?
When Jill's elderly friend, Miss Emily, calls in a fit of
pique, she already knows the city council is trying to force
Emily to sell her dilapidated old house. But Emily's
gumption goes for naught when she dies unexpectedly and
leaves the house to Jill--along with all of her problems. .
.and her enemies. Convinced her friend was murdered, Jill is
finding the list of suspects longer than the list of repairs
needed on the house. But Jill is determined to uncover the
culprit--especially if it gets her closer to South Cove's
finest, Detective Greg King. Problem is, the killer knows
she's on the case--and is determined to close the book on
Jill permanently. . .
I know very well what it means to take the road less traveled. That's what makes life more exciting, as well as more fulfilling!! I've changed my life in a big way by moving 200 miles away from where I've lived all my life. It was a big change for me to move from the city, into the country, but it was the best thing that could have ever happened for me and my Husband!! Although we are away from my family, and had to drive into town over the weekend, since my Father was in the hospital, and I was there for his passing, we are happy to be out here in our own slice of Heaven!! Your book sounds like a wonderful book, and I'm looking forward to reading it!! Whomever did your cover, really outdid themselves, too!! It's just outstanding!! Congratulations on your book, and thank you for the little piece of insight about your book!! (Peggy Roberson 9:25am April 28, 2014)
Peggy - so glad to hear your story. I moved away from my home state a few years ago. But to a bigger city than where I'd grown up. The cover is mag! I've been blessed by the cover gods lately. :) (Lynn Cahoon 6:48pm April 28, 2014)
