Women's Fiction Contemporary

THE TWO OF US is a dual offering by authors Lori Foster and Maisey Yates. Both books feature rescue dogs who have a way of bringing people together.

The Odd Couple by Lori Foster features Ford Caruso who finds himself doing his neighbor a favor by playing as her boyfriend when her ex doesn’t want to let her go. No matter how adamant Skye Fairchild is about steering clear of romance. Ford and a mutt and chihuahua feel differently. It could be destiny and a little puppy power.

The Odd Couple is a sweet romance, filled with humor and animal hijinks that are often found in the amazing books by Lori Foster. Ford and Skye are a perfect match who for whatever reason do not really feel it. They work through all their personal problems and end up with their fake dates and use his pool to pick out rescue dogs together. It is so cute how the two dogs are so enthralled with each other that they are working on keeping their owners together. Where they each belong.

In Force of Nature by Maisey Yates features Lydia Clay’s heart going out to rescue animals so when a very old cattle dog named Hank shows up at her shelter she has a bit of a dilemma. Hank belongs to her brother’s best friend, the hot but grumpy Remington Lane’s estranged father. At first, he wants nothing to do with the dog, but it seems that with Lydia’s and old Hank’s help, he is about to learn a few new tricks.

In Force of Nature is a very heartwarming story with a sweet romance, an adorable dog and a woman who has a big heart for creatures who need love. Lydia has always cared deeply for Remy but as her brother’s best friend, he always saw her as a kid. He had a horrible family life but the Clay family had shown him what family really should be like and he has made himself who he is. Thank goodness for Hank who has been able to bring him and Lydia closer.

THE TWO OF US are both quick reads that will leave you with feel-good feelings and a smile on your face. In both stories, the romance is sweet and intriguing with the dogs absolutely stealing the show. Great reads that will leave you wanting more.

SUMMARY

There’s nothing like the unconditional love of a rescue dog and their ability to bring people together as these meant-to-be-couples are about to find out in these brand-new sweet and romantic tales from bestselling authors Lori Foster and Maisey Yates.

The Odd Couple * LORI FOSTER
Ford Caruso agrees to an unusual favor—playing the part of new boyfriend for his adamantly single, irresistibly sexy neighbor Skye Fairchild, whose clueless ex refuses to accept his fate. But as Skye starts dropping by to use Ford’s pool, and even plan dates, the charade begins to feel satisfyingly real, complete with choosing rescue dogs together—a giant mutt and a fierce little chihuahua who adore each other. From one odd couple to another, some things are destined . . .

Force of Nature * MAISEY YATES
Rescuing animals is in Lydia Clay’s blood, so when a mournful old cattle dog named Hank shows up at the shelter, she knows exactly where to take him: to cattle rancher Remington Lane, her brother’s hot, and usually grumpy, best friend. Hank belonged to Remy’s estranged father, which is one strike against him, but when Lydia offers to help the man ease into dog ownership, he can’t say no. And as he and Lydia work together, it looks like an old dog can actually teach this brooding cattleman some heart-warming new tricks . . .
