Romance Western
ROUGH RIDER is the third and final entry that takes place in
Whitehorse
Montana with an intriguing cast of characters
compliments of B.J. Daniels. Daniels obviously had a great
deal of fun with this series. ROUGH RIDER brings a very
satisfying end to an excellent kidnap mystery with enough
twists and turns to keep every arm chair detective turning
pages. The McGraw family has been living with pain and heartbreak
since losing the twin babies twenty-five years ago. The
patriarch Travers still believes his children are alive just
missing. Their brother Boone is now on still another, sure
to be a dead-end trail to find Jesse Rose, the last missing
twin, wild goose chase. It seems the more clues that surface
the further the family is from resolving this decade's long
tragedy. We uncovered some important facts in prior books in the
Whitehorse Montana: the McGraw kidnapping. Those facts have
led us to the incidences that culminate in ROUGH RIDER and
hopefully assist the McGraw's in this very lengthy, most
often disappointing search for the last missing twin, their
sister Jesse Rose. Boone is out to meet with PI Hank Knight who has reached out
to the McGraw family with information possibly related to
the missing twins. But it's C.J. Knight who is actually the
one person left with any possible leads. C.J. Knight is
intent on finding who killed her boss, Hank Knight. And so
C.J. and Boone kind of join forces. C.J. at odds over her
deep feelings for Hank and unease over all the facts and
clues they were uncovering in the search for whoever was
behind the wheel of Hank's hit and run. Boone equally at
odds over the prospect that this man who C.J. thought so
highly of might be nothing more than a middleman for selling
stolen babies. Everything Boone learns about Hank convinces him that there
is indeed a connection between this P.I. and his missing
sister Jesse Rose. And there is no way Boone is going home
without that information even if it means spending more time
with C.J. who is beginning to get into his head and his heart. The McGraw's never back away from any challenge. This may
be the biggest one they've ever faced. At the end of the
day, the disappearance of those twins is going to be
reconciled, hopefully with a happy ending for all. Well, hopefully, you have all been keeping up with this
mind-blowing case. And now with ROUGH RIDER B.J. Daniels
finally gathers in all the available and newly discovered
clues and winds up with a doozy of an ending. Pretty
fabulous by any standards. ROUGH RIDER is the third and last
installment of the Whitehorse Montana series. So sorry to
see it end.
