LOOK BEHIND YOU is an incredible novel that involves one of society's fears when it comes to unsolved serial murders, but you have to read it for yourself to see what I mean. In this fictional novel, LOOK BEHIND YOU, written by Iris Johansen you are left with goosebumps until the end. The book is part of the Kendra Michaels series and is the first that I have read. It can definitely be read alone as you will find that you will have trouble putting it down. Johansen gives us interesting characters with a believable storyline that not all authors have a talent for.
The CIA and FBI hire Kendra Michaels to use her incredible senses to help them solve crimes and this case is no different. Blind for her first 20 years, after a surgery, she can now see and use her gifts to see what others will miss. In San Diego, there is a serial killer on the loose. This one is strange because he leaves objects behind that have investigators clueless to whom and why? With Kendra's help, they realize these objects belong to victims of other unsolved murders from the past from all over the nation. All these investigators from all these crimes come together to form the "dream team" and put their skills together to solve these murders. But can they do it before the killer taunts Kendra more than it has?
LOOK BEHIND YOU by Iris Johansen is a well-developed story that I found to be so intriguing and I would think this would be every investigator's nightmare. This may be my first of Johansen's novels but it will not be my last!
