A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS is Book 17 in the Heart of the Wolf series by Terry Spear. Even though this book is part of a series, A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS can still be enjoyed as a standalone. However, after reading and enjoying it, you'll be compelled to go back and try some of the other stories set in Silver Town, Colorado. The story is told from two perspectives, and the hero and heroine are both wolf shifters.
Deputy Sheriff CJ Silver has his hands full. In addition to trying to woo a somewhat reluctant lady wolf, there are several suspicious characters floating around, not to mention an enigmatic white wolf and unsolved mysteries galore. The missing family members and suspicious characters add an extra level of excitement and kept me riveted. Having a haunted hotel thrown into the mix is icing on the cake for an already fascinating story. These mysteries help create a strong bond between CJ and Laurel as they work together, as well as adds depth to A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS.
Terry Spear writes some of the best and sexiest "nice guy" heroes. CJ is so sweet and hard not to fall for. He begins a slow, steady, and utterly charming courtship of lady wolf shifter and town newbie Laurel MacTire. In his unassuming and adorable way, he works his way into Laurel's affections. I like that, although Laurel had planned on not sticking around town, she isn't unnecessarily stubborn about it. The chemistry between CJ and Laurel is palpable and the snowy, cozy mountain town backdrop creates a wonderfully romantic setting. Terry Spear strikes exactly the right balance between sexiness and emotional resonance.
I love this book! A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS is fun, flirty, a little spooky, and super sexy. I look forward to reading more about CJ's brothers in future books. I like that the suspense never overpowers the romance. I can't wait to read the next Heart of the Wolf romance!
