Romance Contemporary

Shelby has had a rough time of things lately. Her mother has Alzheimer's; her last boyfriend only used her so he could post things on YouTube. Shelby can only be herself when she is working in her Art Barn.

Wyatt also has had a bad life. His parents didn't want him. Then they die in a car accident and he has to live with his grandparents. This however turned out to be a great thing in his life. Until he met Vanessa, she hung around with a rough group and soon so was Wyatt. His grandparents weren't happy about this at all and kick him out. Down and out Wyatt moves on until his grandpa dies and he goes back to help out his grandma. One day while he was working in the garage a young boy walks in and ask are you Wyatt? Then you must be my dad.

Wyatt and his son Casey move to a small town to try and start over. Wyatt meets Shelby as she is a teacher in his son's school. At first they don't hit it off at all. But the more Casey gets into trouble the closer they become. Shelby only wants to have sex, no strings attached as she feels she is not worth having anything else. BETWEEN THE SHEETS is the only way that these two can connect.

Molly O'Keefe's book is a very sensual love story. Ms. O'Keefe hits the highs and the lows of her characters. I was completely engrossed in not only the love story but what was going on in the main characters lives. Molly O'Keefs had the ability to make in cry in some parts and in some parts I really was starting to hate Shelby. On the other hand I was hoping from the beginning that Wyatt and Casey could work out all their problems.

In BETWEEN THE SHEETS Ms. O'Keefe touches on what Alzheimer's can do to a loved one. The one that has it and the loved one that has to deal with it. It is a very sad disease, hopefully one that I will never have to experience with anyone in my family.

SUMMARY

Perfect for readers of Susan Mallery and Rachel Gibson, Between the Sheets is Molly O’Keefe’s final book in the Boys of Bishop trilogy, featuring a sizzling romance between a sexy motorcycle bad boy and the girl next door who can’t resist him. After years of running, Wyatt Svenson has now parked himself in Bishop, Arkansas, trying to do the right thing and parent a son he didn’t even know he had until recently. Over six feet tall and packed with muscles and power, Ty likes to get his hands dirty, fixing his motorcycle at night and keeping his mind away from the mistakes he’s made. Then his pretty neighbor shows up on his driveway, doesn’t bother to introduce herself, and complains about the noise. First impression? She should loosen up. Funny that she turns out to be his son’s elementary school art teacher—and the only one willing to help his troubled boy. Ty needs her. In more ways than one. Though Shelby Monroe is safe in her structured life, she is drawn to Ty’s bad-boy edge and rugged sexuality. What if she just lets it all go: her worries about her mother, her fear of heartbreak, and her tight self control? What if she grabs Ty and takes a ride on the wild side? “What if” becomes reality—intense, exhilarating . . . and addictive. But Ty wants more than a secret affair. He wants it all with Shelby. But will she take a chance and open her heart? Ty is determined to convince Shelby to take the biggest risk of her life: on him.
