Caleb Kelly, Air Force pilot, returns from Afghanistan and
finds his girl Kourtney had left him days after his
deployment. He can't believe it. It had been her e-mails
that had gotten him through the time away. He has no way of
knowing he will find himself FALLING FOR THE WINGMAN.
Alex Leadbetter, Kourtney's sister, cannot believe when
Caleb pulls up in front of their mother's house. It is all
about to hit the fan. He didn't know that Kourtney was
about to be married. Honestly Alex had always thought he
was too good for her self centered sister. It had been her
who sent him the e-mails just to keep his spirits up until
he returned and got hit with the truth. She certainly did
not expect to fall in love with the flyboy herself.
Caleb enlists her as his wingman, in a desperate attempt to
win Kourtney away from her husband to be. He decides that
making her think he has fallen for someone else will do the
job. But the plan backfires when he really does fall for
someone else... Alex. Then the secret she has kept from him
really makes him fall that much harder. But Alex is happy
where she is ... would it be even possible to get her to go
with him. Would love be enough ... this time?
FALLING FOR THE WINGMAN is the marvelous book three of
author Crista McHugh's Kelly Brothers series. You are
thrown into an emotional whirlwind from the beginning and
will be hugely satisfied with the ending. Caleb is
determined to get back the woman that he loves, only to
find out how wrong he was in his beliefs. Alex is the
mechanic, non-debutante sister, who is not afraid of being
herself, though she does feel guilty that she is unable to
tell him the truth about the e-mails. I loved how they were
playacting (or were they?) until they had to face facts
about how they really felt. Ms. McHugh has written another
warm, sexy and surprising story and I cannot wait for the
next one in this series.
Air Force pilot Caleb Kelly has come back home with one
mission in mind—to propose to the woman's whose
letters and lucky charm helped him survive his deployment in
Afghanistan. But when he finds their apartment empty with a
note saying she's left him, he arrives at her mother's house
in rural Alabama less than a week before Kourtney is about
to marry another man. Now, he's out to win her heart again
and gets some unexpected assistance from her younger sister,
Alex.
Alex Leadbetter has always thought Caleb was too good for
her manipulative, social-climbing sister. She had assumed
Kourtney's identity to write letters to him and keep his
spirits up until he returned home to the hard truth, never
expecting to fall in love with him along the way. After he
shows up in town, she convinces him that the best way to get
Kourtney back is to make her think he's fallen for someone
new — her. But when a fake romance becomes all too
real, her deception may leave them both grounded.
Christa can certainly write a great book kept my interest from start to finish waiting to read many more from this author (Theresa Hibbert 10:01am March 19, 2014)
