Holiday | Romance Anthology

Christmas in Shelter Bay by JoAnn Ross - Cole Douchett is home again at Christmastime in Shelter Bay, Oregon helping with the town's Christmas boat parade encouraging more tourism. Cole has returned home from Afghanistan and Iraq while in the Marines. Seeing Kelli Carpenter again after all this time has Cole a little more than nervous. A misunderstanding from the past has Kelli considering spending the holidays in Hawaii to avoid Cole, who she has loved nearly all her life. Being thrown together encourages the rekindling of love for the couple, but not without having to deal with the past errors and misunderstandings.

A Seaside Christmas by Susan Donovan -- Mona Flynn and the members of the Bayberry Island Mermaid Society perform their ritual, asking for true love this season for Annabeth Parker, an author and owner of a unique little gift shop. Nathaniel Ravelle, segment producer for a paranormal reality show "Truly Weird" is in town for a story on the "Mermaid story". Slipping on the ice and falling in front of Ann's shop is the beginning of the mermaid fantasy as Ann helps the unconscious but delicious looking man. Is the intervention truly from efforts of the legend of the mermaids or maybe destiny itself?

Mistletoe on Main Street by LuAnn McLane -- Ava Whimsy is late for her involvement in the Cricket Creek Christmas parade as Mrs. Claus, supporting Pete Sully, their Santa. Hopping aboard the sleigh Ava finds Pete has been substituted with his son, Clint, home to check on his father reportedly having heart problems. Ava is having trouble overcoming the bitter ending to their young love of years ago when Clint left home. Ava vows not the let him break her heart again. The wonderful time of Christmas has a way of rekindling lost love. Is this enough to keep Clint in Cricket Creek, the very place he escaped from?

The Christmas Gift by Alexis Morgan -- Bridey Roke owns Something's Brewing Coffee Shop in Snowberry Creek and makes delicious desserts. Her attention seems to be drawn to the quiet man, Seth Kyser, who frequently visits her coffee shop. Seth is a famous wood sculptor needing to retreat from the hassle of fame to restore creative visions for his work. Upon volunteering to help with Bridey's kitchen cupboards, he is also involved in helping with decorating the town with lighting for Christmas. Becoming involved emotionally, Bridey is kept in the dark as to who Seth truly is and feels a real trust issue upon learning the truth. Seth needs to find a creative way to convince Bridey of his sincerity.

These four stories are wonderful uplifting tales during the holiday season when the air is full of love and the compassion for others is a real treat. Couples alone and finding their fulfillment during this time of year is nostalgic and vastly romantic for the reader. Curl up and feel that warm and fuzzy feeling with each terrific story.
