Iverson Brentwood and his twin Matson recently moved to London from America. Never knowing why their father whisked them away to America, things become clear after arriving in London. Now Iverson is out for blood. He and his brother look devastatingly like Sir Randolph Gibson, now believed to be their true father. To create further pandemonium, Sir Phillip Crisp has sold his obnoxious drivel about their family to the local newspaper. "A Tale of Three Gentlemen" is all the rage and gossip. Intending to confront and threaten Sir Crisp to discontinue any further articles pertaining to the defiling of his deceased mother's name, Iverson visits the Crisp household. Confronting instead the beautiful tantalizing woman full of spirit, Catalina Crisp, he is surprised to learn she is his targets daughter.
Iverson is known as the "Rake of Baltimore" about ton but with this woman he feels protective instead of lust. Meeting resistance with her unique household servants, his goal is to wait for Sir Crisp's return. Finding that he is out of town and his whereabouts unknown, he is entertained with the light bantering and matching of wits with Catalina. He seems to appear wherever she is and is intrigued with her courage. Unknown passions are ignited in Catalina when she is near this virile hunk of a man. Will the mystery of Iverson's parentage be resolved? Will the fire between him and Catalina ever be quenched?
I did not have the privilege of viewing the first in this trilogy but will be sure that reading the beginning of this amazing story is the first thing on my to-do list. A GENTLEMAN SAYS "I DO" keeps you glued to the page just waiting to see what the spirited young woman will do next. She has a way of weaving that web around an experienced man of the ladies and sneaking under his skin. I loved the characters and the story line immensely. It was refreshing and offered a challenge to the reader to keep ahead guessing what comes next. I cannot wait for the continuation of this trilogy.
