Katie Malone and her twin boys had to leave Sacramento in
the middle of the night and move across the country due to a
danger that destroyed the family business and threatened
their lives. Now that the danger has passed, Katie is ready
to move back to California. Before she makes any big
decisions, she and the boys are spending time in Virgin
River with her brother Conner Danson and his girlfriend
Leslie (Hidden Summit). Having been widowed while
pregnant, Katie is thrilled that Conner will be back in
their lives on a day-to-day basis.
Dylan Childress, former child star and current Montana
pilot, and his friends are on a motorcycle trip to California.
On the drive through the mountains in the rain, they stumble
across Katie trying to change a tire. The attraction
between them is instant but neither acts on it and Dylan
drives away. All bets are off when they run into each other
in Virgin River. As they spend time together the attraction
deeps and Dylan is torn. He has plans to save his business
that don't include staying in Virgin River. Can they find a
way to be together?
REDWOOD BEND has all the elements that make Robyn Carr such
a popular romance author— manly heroes, strong independent
woman, and emotional obstacles on the path to happily ever
after. Katie is intelligent, and I liked that she knew her
way around a hammer. Dylan's history as a child star makes
for an imaginative twist on the emotional baggage everyone
brings to a relationship. Fans of Virgin River will
thoroughly enjoy this visit.
Katie Malone and her twin boys’ trip along the beautiful
mountain roads to Virgin River is stopped short by a tire as
flat as her failed romance. To make matters worse, the rain
has set in, the boys are hungry and Katie is having trouble
putting on a spare. As she stands at the side of the road
pondering her next move, she hears a distinct rumble. The
sight of the sexy, leather-clad bikers who pull up beside
her puts her imagination into overdrive.
Dylan Childress and his buddies are on the motorcycle trip
of a lifetime. But the sight of a woman in distress
stops them in their tracks. And while the guys are checking
out her car, she and Dylan are checking out
one another.
In one brief moment, the world tilts on its axis and any
previous plans Katie and Dylan might have had for their
futures are left at the side of the road.
